Yes it will work but make sure it's the correct size for your transmission line. Mine has worked great so far.

Maybe but probably not what it's intended for. As long as you don't exceed the pressure shown on the scale / dial face then its probably fine. Components designed for fuel are typically fine on air - assuming you stay within the working pressure.
