Simply Brilliant - do not hesitate
I love these cards - crafted playfully to make a challenging subject relevant. When raised within a culture, you have the benefit of cultivating an intuitive understanding of a concept, which is typically lost in translation with the 'basic' character cards. Dr. Moku has connected the dots - developing a set of cards with thoughtfully developed designs and memory aids which guide you to mastery.... neuroscience has found that 'silly' images actually stick in your memory better. On the back of each card, they provide the character line order, a range of character presentations, the translation, pronunciation, JLPT designation, and a mnemonic sentence to reinforce both context & pronunciation. If that's not all - with the purchase, the company gifts access to their App, where the flashcard characters can also be reviewed digitally, the characters are drawn, pronounced and summarized, quizzing you artfully until you have attained the mastery you desire. This level of commitment to mastery is rare, demonstrating a top notch organization invested in you succeeding. I feel blessed to have found this powerful aid, and inspired by their thoughtful design which engages both hemispheres of the brain while learning.

The best way to learn Kanjis! Free app
I have used many books, and apps to learn Japanese. As a visual learner, this product is perfect! I wish the price was lower, but I later found out that you get the app content for free (I think it was like a $16 value for ALL the contents for Korean, Japanese, Arabic and Chinese) If you email them after buying a physical copy the will send you a voucher code to redeem it. To me, I feel like that offset the price. I also bought the hiragana and katakana. I'm very pleased. With both products and the app! I hope more Kanjis are coming.

They're....okay
While this may be good for some to learn, I found these to be a bit difficult. The pictures are a bit odd, and I was hoping for a better system of mnemonic ways to remember the kanji. Unfortunately, this wasn't it. The cards themselves are good however, good quality and the printing is easy to read. There are instructions in the box so you can understand how they try to explain it and the cards also offer a link to online support as well. Value vs quality is fair.

Good quality! Wish it had Romanji!
They do a good job of showing the stroke order for writing the Kanji. The cards and box they are in have great quality. Nice and sturdy. The pictures make it easier to remember. I would prefer if it would have romanji on the cards, but overall very nice cards. For example the word for “4” is “よん” or “yon” if romanji is used. The example on the cards for pronouncing 4 is “yawn” which is pretty close for pronouncing it, and makes it easy to remember. So I can understand why they chose it. Romanji may not be completely necessary to have on there, but I have OCD so it kinda bothers me that they don’t have the Romanji on there as well as their chosen example. Romanji gives the exact spelling of the kanji if you wanted to type it out. So that’s my only reason for giving one less star.

These are fun and helpful!
My husband bought these for me for Christmas and they are great! I’ve been studying Japanese for about a year and I love to pick them up as a refresher. The pictures are helpful clues and having both On’yomi and Kun’yomi sounds are a bonus. The phrases are funny and clever and really help you remember even the most difficult Kanji sounds. Thanks Dr. Moku!

These are QUALITY flashcards!
I've been studying Japanese for about two years. I started with kanji (via a web-based app) and then moved to weekly lessons with a teacher for over a year because I wanted to focus more on conversational Japanese. That is still going very well for me but I recently decided to take the JLPT N5 test this December 1 (when it's in Seattle), so I decided to return to working on kanji for it. Another benefit is cementing more vocabulary. I am totally impressed with the cards and with Dr. Moku in general. Very high quality card stock, nice graphics, and complete info on each kanji. They are going to be a joy to use.

Mnemonic images bizarre they're mostly useless or counterproductive, but otherwise great
A great number of the pictures meant to help you remember the kanji are so bizarre they're downright confusing/I have no clue what meaning they could possibly be trying to convey. Some of them even to the point of making me doubt my correct memorizations... However, there are a few for which the images they used were actually helpful instead and the cards are sturdy and arrived in a timely fashion. The card layout also included all the information for each kanji that I was looking for.

Well made, great mnemonics, easy to understand
I am just starting to study Japanese and am mostly still memorizing Hiragana & Katakana however I saw these and thought they would make a great addition and they do not disappoint. If you're looking for Kanji flashcards....these are it! Another reviewer complained that they mnemonics were not good, but I'd like to point out that mnemonics are not necessarily just to give you a visual and isn't there to "be pretty" it's there to help you remember...and these get a 10/10 for me.
