Great product used it for my didgeridoo as well as to repair some of my flutes

For those who care not to drool on their didgeridoo when they are didgeridooing, a wax mouthpiece is essential. This one softens easily, shapes well. I could wax eloquent about this product — excuse me, I already have.

The shape and consistency is perfect to get the job of reforming a didgeridoo mouthpiece done quickly and easily. It's pretty inexpensive too. HOWEVER, the color is an opaque orange which contrasts with a cosmetic grade 100% beeswax I purchased as well (semi-transparent yellow/tan). The natural beeswax looks exactly like the old mouthpiece from when this instrument was brought back from Australia. The Meinl preshaped wax does not. I suspect preservatives and colorant are used for elongated shelf life or lower product costs. I recommend forming your own mouthpiece using all natural sticks of beeswax and a little patience (10 minutes vs 5 ?). I tried to blend the two materials to reduce the unnatural orange color. See for yourself. Considering it's main use is as a curio/decor, I prefer the natural yellow/tan wax and will use it instead next time.

Great product. Made it way easier to learn the didgeridoo. I put it in a zip lock and placed it in a mug with boiled water for about 5 mins. Made it easy to shape it.

I'm a total beginner, starting out with pvc pipe. I had a trap adapter but it was big and very uncomfortable so I bought a big block of beewax and it was disgusting. Anyhow, the meinl was my next attempt at getting a good mouthpiece and it's amazing! I just got it an hour ago and I'm already here to leave a review. It's very comfortable and easy to attach. It took me maybe 10 minutes. Thank you for making it easy on beginners like me!
