Perfect product does just what I wanted to do

Not as good as the other Aveda clay it’s very light and does not hold.

I’d always used aveda pure-formance grooming clay but gave this a try. After a few used, I realized this works differently. Grooming clay is firm and you sculpt your hair with it. If you have thinner hair, it ends up sticking together in some places. With thickening paste, it’s a smoother softer substance so it’s easier to work with. When you get it the way you like it, it dries and gives more hold. Same clean dry look as the clay but easier to work with.

Creamier than most pastes and therefore goes in easily. Did notice that it gets thicker and more claylike as it ages (presumably drying out). Hold is decent but soft. No residue and hair remains shiny/clean. Shampoos off very easily.

Years ago I finally decided to get my life together and become what some refer to as an “adult”. After a couple months my supportive friend said why not find a general hair style you believe would look good and then go to a stylist and kind of explain to them you trying to go A LOT shorter and get some style that reflects my personality while remaining professional. That was over three years ago… and I believe I purchased this product my first trip. I thought it was a rip off for the price but heck… I was treating myself. This product allows me to perfectly shape my hair with a natural look and I can even drive with the windows down (for the most part) and not worry about messing up my groove. After three years… That one container has finally ran out. Less is honestly more IMO but this right here is the cats pajamas

The first time I purchased this product was by accident. I meant to get a different formula but accidentally picked this one up. It was a very good accident. The paste holds your hair like gel or hairspray but leaves your hair soft, not sticky or crunchy. It also smells really good. For long hair, I'd recommend using it on the ends. For short hair, it works best on dry hair, but I've used it when my hair was wet; I just combed it into place and then set it with a light coat of hairspray.

I love this hair paste. It is not sticky and makes your hair style really nice. I put this in my hair while still damp and I blow dry and style. My hair goes great every time. I have been using this product for three years and I have tried other products and nothing compares to Aveda.
