I mostly only wear stud earrings anymore and recently acquired more pairs than I can keep track of in the boxes they came in, so I wanted a simple way to display them that I could keep out on my bathroom counter. I didn't want it to take up a ton of space, and I didn't need it to store other jewelry. I wanted to be able to see all the pairs I have at a quick glance and be able to access them easily. This display checks all those requirements. It's not fancy, but it's not hideous or terribly tacky looking either. Just out of curiosity, I did try putting a couple other non-stud styles of earrings in the holder (one with fish hook type posts, and another with straight posts but larger and more decorative style earrings), and neither type fit. This display will really only work with simple, smaller, stud-type straight-post earrings. The only reason I took off one star is because it can be a tad bit unstable. There is only one bar on the back side at the lower center part of the stand that holds it up, and it is easy to knock over. Two bars, one on either side, would have been better.
