Product works but you have to be very careful while fixing!!!
I received the order last week, which came with both the drive gear and worm gear as well as bushings and grease. My garage door openers is old; it is a Liftmaster 2255. The main issue was with the 'drive gear', but having also the worm gear, I decided to replace it, too, which was too hard! The original bushings in the motor shaft did not come off easily. I had to use pliers, hammer, etc to remove them. When I tried to insert the 'bearing', I broke it. It did not go easily on the motor shaft, thus I used force which was a mistake. I contacted the seller as well as amazon, and they were very helpful. The second set came, and I installed the parts successfully. The sold set perfectly fits my garage door opener, but I have to highlight that the installation was time consuming and hard. Nevertheless, I can now say that I know the details of "garage door openers"! Some hints: - The parts are perfect fit, but know that there are two types of garage door openers these parts fit. I had to get the diagram from the seller to properly install the 'worm gear' my opener. - This is a hard project for anyone who has not done anything similar. You need the tools and time. There are several videos in youtube describing the steps and what to expect. Make sure you watch several of them. They are very useful! In fact, if those were somehow included in the descriptions, it could have helped a lot (or a movie by the seller or a buyer describing all the tiny details). - The 'worm gear' installation part was not easy especially removal and installation of bushings. In fact, I saw one video by -I think- Sears or Lowes, saying that you have to file the motor shaft in order to easily slide in the bushings (as well as the worm gear). Another person also noted the same thing online, which was indeed the solution to my problem. I used a sandpaper to clean up the motor shaft on several location. This is not noted in any document except in those videos. Once done, I could easily slide the 'bearing' into the motor shaft (after lubrication). Lubrication by itself won't work. I had to file the shaft. - Another issue I observed was with the 'limit gear'. After successful installation, the door was not opening all the way up although I set the limits to maximum. It seems that the 'limit gear' has to be adjusted so that you can set the min/max of garage door. Again, these small details are not anywhere in the document sent; thus, I had to find solutions online. In this case, I observed the limit gear by eye while opening the garage door. Once I saw the issue, I removed the limit gear, set the limit gear to the middle so that maximum opening/closing can be done. Somehow, the limits on the limit gear was messed up. - There were other issues, too. So, do not assume the above ones are the only ones I observed. This is not an easy job, but for those who likes solving problems, this is a good puzzle; at least for me it was a hard puzzle. Make sure to unplug electricity before working on the opener!!!

Replaces EOM and Easy Install.
Excellent - Fit perfect for my Access Master 1/2 hp garage door opener. The parts fit like OEM. I watched the video in the comments, which was perfect walkthrough of the installation. Just had to a little calibration of the up & down settings and now I don't have to manually raise & lower the garage door. Nor do I have to buy & replace the entire system. Well worth the cost. I Highly recommend this product ~

Good kit but not without issues
The kit overall is a great buy in terms of not having to replace an otherwise good opener. The instructions weren't particularly good so it pays to take photos and note the position of components as you're taking the opener apart. The replacement bushings had insufficient clearance to allow the shafts to pass through and had to be reamed out to proper clearance. All that said, it's a $17 kit that restored the door opener to full function so I'd buy it again.

It replaced Craftsman 1/2 horse garage opener.
The garage opener spoke snapped off from the shaft. This is second replacement on this motor over couple of years. The difficult part is placing the chain back on to the spoke. The length adjustment on the chain needs to give as much length as possible. Then reset the length after chain is fitted in the spoke wheel. Product is good price, fit and works perfectly. Will buy again in a couple years' time.

Good in 1/2 hp Liftmaster
This worked great on my 20 year old 1/2 hp liftmaster. The install was fairly easy (30 mins) following the YouTube videos available. I didn’t really use the instructions that came in package they were not the clearest to follow imo. The large white nylon gear on my liftmaster had totally worn out and the door struggled to open. I could’ve just replaced it and saved a couple bucks but didn’t feel the cost difference was worth the effort involved. Replacing just the gear you also risk the chance that the sprocket or a bushing could be soon to follow. They give you extra bushings and such in the package but I didn’t need them. I did use the new small worm at the bottom of the unit even though the old one seemed fine. I didn’t not have to do any limit adjustments afterwards. The sprocket was slightly smaller on the new unit than the one on my old one so the final chain position moved by a couple inches, but everything still worked fine. There are videos on adjusting the limits if needed. Not sure if the unit seems as heavy duty as my original so not sure on longevity but I’ll update here if I notice any problems.
