Wonder Woman 1984 (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray)

I’m not renouncing my wish, the whole world can end but I’m going to enjoy my UHD copy of Wonder Woman 1984!

Look don’t the 5 star review fool you, this movie wasn't very good, but it was entertaining. WW was a much better film, and this movie doesn't hold a candle, but it was a good watch (if you don’t take any of it seriously). Weirdly too long.

Warning: Spoilers! Well it’s WW .. so just for that it starts at 3stars .. Chris Pine looks old(er) (and maybe he is) .. but .. more on that later. I didn’t love this iteration as I did the first .. it didn’t draw me in .. maybe I wasn’t believing in the concept (how does a dead love come back .. how!!) An artifact which grants your wish .. WW wishes her love back .. I could never buy in .. (maybe from my own personal life .. this never happens .. and that’s why I couldn’t .. ) So we see Chris Pine again .. but now he looks older .. which .. if WW wishes him back .. yeah she wouldn’t wish back an older version of her love. No way. Make us believe. Yeah I give it 4 stars (the effects are great) but this is not a movie that I will watch more than once.

The 4K Blu-ray looks wonderful. I love the idea of the movie, that not all problems can be solved with only violence. Very uncommon for a comic book based movie. Obviously the movie does have action. When the Wonder woman fights cheetah, she's not fighting to beat her, but to save her friend. It's a bit more of an emotional battle within each character. Everybody feels like they've didn't fulfill their potential. that's what these characters are fighting for, wanting to fulfill their greedy, lust, what they feel they deserve. It's not violence for violence sake. Very enjoyable, movie and 4K product.

I have no idea why this film gets negative reviews. This film is a total homage to Linda Carter's Wonder Woman tv series. Unless you grew up watching it, I guess you wouldn't understand the nostalgia factor. That, or you're an elitist snob "critic" expecting the normal cgi-fest of super hero movies. Gal Gadot gave WW depth and it was nice to see Wiig as a meek character turned villain. Glad to add this to my DC collection!

I really enjoyed Wonder Woman. It's one of the better super-hero movies out there, including all the MCU ones, which is even more impressive given DC's poor track record on film conversions. This sequel is entertaining, and worth seeing in a casual sense, but just doesn't match its predecessor. Part of the appeal of the first Wonder Woman was the innocence & naivety of the titular character, and how rather than being ground down by a dark, cynical world, she instead uses that stubborn 'naivety' to change the world for the better. That's missing in the second - she's now just a normal person, essentially, with contemporary levels of ambivalence and disillusionment. Logical, yes, but sad. It gets a bit too close to plain silly at times, particularly as it approaches conclusion. In some of the climactic end scenes, I fell out of the zone when I noticed how silly it all looked if you take but a slight step back - like an amateur production with subpar scripting and wooden character direction; the characters all have an over-acted "oh woe is me" vibe of a telenovela. The ending is also kind of dark and disturbing, especially since the characters all make out like everything is fine and nothing is ruined, when in fact… well, I don't want to spoil it; suffice to say there's a weird disconnect between apparent reality and the emotional states of the main characters.

The physical item was awesome. The movie was good but could have been better. The story needed some more work but the visuals of the movie was excellent.

Diana was not as I supposed to be in this movie. She is vulnerable from the viewpoint of a super hero this time. Still I thought she studied very important things to grow as higher level super hero. Steve said Gone is Gone, then she finally could step forward from the tragic past. Cheetah and Max Lord still went on. No one is Villain.

Lo compre con un muy buen descuento este noviembre y temia porque solo decía que era blu ray no 4K blu ray pero en efecto si era llego en muy buen estado y con su slipcover que siempre es bueno por el detalle.

La versión 4K muy bien y llegó sin problema, si bien no es mejor que la primera, debe formar parte de la colección
