This item is the one to get to one-up the comically weak LED pin-light that came with your Bondic UV Glue applicator (yes, it's a glue). On their web site they make a big joke out of mocking any customer who goes there looking to find out the magic UV wavelength, with a one-liner about chefs not sharing recipes. But it only takes about a minute and 44 seconds from there to find the answer elsewhere: The glue cures with UV at around 395 nanometers, thanks for asking. So this little light does the deed very nicely. It comes in a box with a German company name printed on it but that's sheer theatre -- it's made in China like most other gadgets. Still, it's solid, works well and even comes with a battery in it. It's bright enough for the purpose and will also let you see your freshly laundered socks glow in the dark, or spy where your dog piddled on the floor. Of course, if you want to change your name to Gil Grissom and go look for semen traces at crime scenes you might want something bigger. Otherwise this will do.
