Rhode Island Novelty 6"-7" Dinosaur Skeleton Figure

True to size description

First of all I ordered my dinosaurs from Tucker's Toy shop NOT Rhode Island Novelty. Even if I click on the company name on my order form it brings up this toy review under RHODE ISLAND NOVELTY. I have seen that happen many times on Amazon and that might be the reason for such varying reviews.I took the advice of one reviewer and checked out Dollar Tree (they said $,99 store but we do not have them) but did not find any dinosaurs this size or skeletons. Also checked Walmart and Target with no luck so I ordered these.I order two packs of 12 dinosaurs. Both packs contained 12 distinctly different dinosaurs. I had no duplicates in the same set.They were not individually wrapped but were inside a sealed plastic bag. As far as size All are at least 5-6 " either in height or width even the little pterodactyl.They are very good quality vinyl material. All but two can stand up and after a little pressure I was able to move the legs enough to make them stand on their own also.I ordered them for Dinosaur week project (helps that we live near dinosaur World attraction) with my five grandchildren I babysit from ages 2-12. We are going to make Salt dough fossil impression plaques, Fossil digs, dioramas, dinosaur villages completes with erupting volcanoes, dinosaur eggs, etc. I expect these to last for a long time! I will try to add pictures so you can see the good detail.I hope this helps in your decisions making.

I purchased a total of two packs of these dinosaur skeleton figures in two separate orders, 4 days apart, each time as part of amazon's free super saver shipping and sold by SCS Collectibles, Inc. However, amazon shipped both in one big box with the rest of my two orders.The two packs look very different. One has 12 different kinds of dinosaur skeleton figures, in one large plastic bag. They are made of hard plastic, very rigid, but I managed to twist the T. Rex's legs a little to make it stand up. The color is greenish-yellowish brown.The other pack has only 8 different kinds of dinosaurs (4 kinds came in pairs), each individually packed in sealed small plastic bag. They are made of softer plastic so a little elastic - pterodactyls can't stand for more than a few seconds, even after twisting their legs. The details seem a little less sharper, especailly around the limbs. The color is creamy, pastel color.Overall, it's a very good buy for $8 per 12 dinosaurs of pretty good details, quality and size. If I don't know there are two different packages, I will be happy with either one. But I like the greenish-yellowish brown ones better. I will definitely recommend it for dinosaur theme party or pretend play. Good luck to get what you prefer.p.s. One of the standing dinosaurs has human-like hands with two opposable thumbs???

The quality is amazing for the price I paid! We put these in our Kinetic sand and do dino digs! They work amazingly because the sand doesn't stick to them. You get a good variety of them and the quality is awesome.EDIT: For whatever reason, I didn't notice until the other day, we got one of each dinosaur! We had no doubles! It's awesome! I love the detail. These get played with a lot.UPDATE (7/12/16): Ordered MORE of these for my sons Jurassic Park party since the ones from previous orders were such a success. I was assuming I would get the same exact ones I received before, ABSOLUTELY NOT. The ones I got on the last shipment were a VERY CHEAP, scaled way down knock off. Their were several broken in the bag on arrival. I didn't even open the bag before I knew the quality wasn't the same.I did open the bag to show the comparison to what I SHOULD HAVE received and was expecting from previous orders from THIS listing. I am not sure if it was from different sellers, as this was an "add-on item." I paid $1.00 more buying from THIS listing than another because I figured I had purchased from this listing before and knew the quality. Unfortunately I didn't have time to reorder, so we were down some dino's for the dino dig. Luckily some of these were just extra's.Please see pictures for comparisons! I read the reviews of this product and after reading that some people didn't get what is pictured, I wasn't sure what I would end up receiving. Sometimes it is hard to tell because some reviews are old. It could also be someone choosing a seller other than Amazon or different sets randomly being mailed.However, I wanted to write, as a person who just purchased this product, we received exactly what is pictured in the photo. We got 12 dinosaurs, all different types (no duplicates, and the same as the ones in the photo), they are yellowish (not white as others received), and they are 5-6". Each dinosaur's name is printed underneath its pelvic bone (small print & hard to read, but it is there). Most of the ones that stand on two legs will not stay upright.We are very happy with the set we received. I bought them to give in treat bags for my son's dinosaur party. My husband and I both said that we would like to keep them because they are a nice set. We are still putting them in the treat bags though. I will probably order another set for my son to keep. He is really into dinosaurs and these skeletons are educational and well-made, especially for the price I paid- six dollars.

Los dinosaurios están bien hechos, muestran mucho detalle, de buen tamaño. A mi hijo le encantaron y están perfectos para jugar. El único detalle fue que una de las "espinas" (por no conocer el nombre correcto), de uno de los dinosaurios llegó rota, supongo que por la fricción entre ellos en el envío.

El tamaño está bien, el material resistente, y los diseños muy alineados a los esqueletos , mi hijo feliz de descubrir los fósiles de dinosaurios al excavar en la arena en nuestro viaje a la playa!!

Aguantan el uso de un niño pequeño. Pero no se pueden poner de pie, y los niños se frustran.

Son muy pequeños y uno me llegó sin una pata.
