Is this axe good for chopping ?

Thank you for the question. This hatchet can be used for chopping small rounds and kindling. It won’t be the best for chopping big rounds.

Thank you for the question. This hatchet comes with a silicone blade cover. We are moving towards having an included sheath in the near future. If you would like a better cover, we would recommend a 4 1/2 - 5 Inch blade cover/sheath.

my axe didn't come with a sheath or blade cover. Shouldn’t it be with one?

Mine did not come with a sheath or cover. It only had a piece of hard rubber over the blade edge.
