Hi Brian, I think it is important to know the cultural relevance of that hat and your question shows that you are considerate about the issue. I am working in Youth Development with many Arab children and families. As a white guy I started to wear a skull cap since a few years and everyone is fine with it. Our culture absorbs many other cultural influences and fashion: kimono, caftan, turban, tattoo, and more.

Can these fit short dreadlocks?

I do not have dreadlocks but it feels soft and flexible enough to be able to fit short dreadlocks.

Can this be used as a kippah?

These kufi hats extend to right above the ears, so they may differ from the shape and size of a standard kippah

Highly recommend skullcap

Great product. Fits well and is comfortable , I struggle with overheating and sweating a lot but this doesn’t seem to get me too hot. Once it starts getting loose I just gently hand wash it, once dry it fits great again. Highly recommend

Tooooo Small!

On my 7 5/8 hat size head, these are bizarrely small. Strangulation of the head. Couldn't wear it for 2 minutes. Even trying to stretch one out with my large strong hands didn't help at all. Very disappointing. Also, they are very thin; not really for warmth.
