Good size chalk
Update: I received an iron IV blood infusion from my doctor and I no longer crave chalk and dirt, please talk to your doctor if you are anemic. It will help you so much. Update: I’ve purchased it a couple times. My pregnancy pica is extreme. My last purchase was perfect. Not broken and super clean. No impurities or spots in it. Very soft and easy to bite into. I still spit most of it out since it can cause stomach issues. But chewing it is very satisfying so is the flavor. Also, I’ve found that taking iron supplements does help decrease the cravings. Clean chalk and a good amount. Mine was not broken. I thought I had pica because I was craving chalk even tho I never ate chalk before. But I could not stop thinking about it. Tried this and it’s good, the texture is nice. Flavor is kinda weird. I bought some freeze dried vanilla ice cream and it it similar in texture so I think ill eat that instead. Because I’m afraid to swallow the chalk. The ice cream also tastes better.

Product has changed
I’ve purchased this same product several times over the last few years, however something has changed with the quality. You do need to air it out for several days and I also bake mine at a low temperature (200 degrees Fahrenheit) for 60-90 minutes. Whatever changed with the quality in the last few months is unfortunate. I threw out all three batches (about $90 worth) as it was inedible and I questioned the safety of eating it.

Delicious
The other edible chalk I normally get was out of stock. So I bought this brand. Upon getting it, I opened it up and let it set out over night. It comes all wrapped up in bubble wrap. Now if you eat it just like that, yes it doesn’t taste good. Has a bit of a chemically/ plastic taste. So leaving it to set out for even a couple of hours is a good idea. This morning, I tried it, and it was perfect. The flavor was a classic chalk( earthy) flavor. I was so happy to find this cause I do get chalk cravings fairly often, and this is perfect. I also have to be careful of my phosphorus intake, and apparently this has been helping, to keep it down. Calcium is a natural phosphorus binder so that’s good. Will definitely be purchasing again! Thank you

Not "Chalky" Enough For Me
Unfortunately, I have pica now during my pregnancy and have been craving chalk. I typically chew, then spit out the chalk. This is one that, apparently, I can completely ingest, so I decided to give it a try. I feel like a chalk connoisseur, so excuse my excessive description. Many people complain about the price, but I am not bothered by it. They are wrapped very well and appear to be clean. The chalk sticks are uniform, too. I can't complain much about the price of something I obsessively crave. The flavor is fine, but I wish it had even less of a taste. I can taste a slight twinge of something acrid, possibly the minerals. My bigger issue is the texture. It feels like I am eating something cakey or starchy, which I DO NOT LIKE when it comes to my pica right now. It gets thick in the mouth like a starch and cakey. I prefer crispy, dry, and crunchy all the way through. It is crisp on initial chewing, but after that, it is downhill for me. I read in another review to rinse it off and let it dry for a day or so. I will try that out and see if it will make it crunchier and take away that starchy feel. However, if you are into a soft finish - it's perfect. I will try the rinse-and-dry method,;. Hopefully, it will give the crispy, dry flavor I want. If not, I don't foresee myself repurchasing it and will use it as a backup to my other chalk. I looked forward to having safe chalk to ingest, but I may have to stick to just chewing and spitting.

Not what I was expecting
As a chalk eater this was not what I was looking for.. This was very hard and very rocky feeling. Taste very weird (metal taste) and felt like I was eating rocks then it turned into a mushy texture that felt like as if I was eating straight wet cement or wet stucco. An update : I left the chalk out of the bag and paper. Let it sit out for almost a month tbh I forgot about it. I only tasted it cuz I was out of the dirty i normally eat. And it tasted the chalk and it was completely different. And I enjoyed it. The taste was better but it still had that rock like texture.

This is real chalk.
This is legitimate chalk. This is not candy chalk, and it is certainly not for anyone who has never had this sort of craving before. I am hooked on this product. Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve had a craving for chalk/dirt -anything earthy. I would sneak chalk from school, or I would eat my sidewalk chalk. Eventually my cravings subsided because I swear they started to put stuff in sidewalk chalk to make the taste unappealing and chemically. This is even common knowledge in my family, and has become a running joke. It wasn’t until I got pregnant that my cravings returned and I was determined to find something to satisfy the overwhelming craving. I came across this product, and wasn’t disappointed but also was not overjoyed. I tried a few methods to find the best result. I’ve been repurchasing for over a year now. Certainly satisfies my cravings. I recommend letting the chalk air out for a day or 12hrs (I can never wait that long after the package arrives). The longer it sits in a cool, dry, well aerated space - the better it tastes. Some of the sticks are just better than others. My favorite is when I get the sticks that stay a little gritty all throughout chewing. Other times it’ll be more of pasty consistency the longer you chew - not ideal for me but not a dealbreaker. Always a great crunch though! Even though it’s a bit of a gamble as to whether I’ll get a gritty stick, it’s worth it. So, if you have cravings similar to mine, give this a try.

There’s better edible chalk out there
I purchased this chalk with all the intentions to eat. I am anemic an crave weird things (to some people) well I found this chalk an I can say it’s got the good an bad. The chalk bit is good nice crunch. The taste at first isn’t all that great. Only because of the air that was trapped in the bag with it. I let the chalk air out for about two weeks to get rid of the factory smell. On another note do not eat an entire stick of this chalk unless you want to spend the rest of the day on the toilet. Found that out the hard way. Ultimately I’m looking for more of a earthy taste so this might not be for me.

Not worth the price
I have ordered the item about 4 times now. The first time I ordered it was perfect. The 2nd and 3rd time the chalk came completely crushed up, some sticks were basically powder and then the rest were tiny chunks. The point of this item is to chew and get the crunch. Not only did it come broken up, there were several pieces I noticed that had brown dots or brown lines through out it. I gave it one more shot (due to pica and craving this item) and the 4th time it came broken up, brown dots AND had super hard bits in it like pebbles or something. Idk it was awful. So expensive for 6 sticks when 8/10 times it’ll be delivered broken. Learned my lesson. Not worth it.
