We have a dry cabin with a composting toilet, but find we have very little desire to climb down a latter, disturb others, and run to the outhouse in the middle of the night. As such, we set up one of the five gallon bucket with a seat setups for ourselves in our loft. We started by buying the bags with absorbent from the camping department, but it was so expensive. We then graduated to the individual tear and pour packets. We found it was an improvement, but it still required so much volume and we still had minor odor issues (which the other bags had too) that could be improved upon. We tried approximately five different brands and this is by far the most absorbent and cost effective. It also develops the least odor. After three years of trying different products, we have used this exclusively for two years since and I'm just as happy with it now as when we discovered it. We can use less than with any other product, so it goes further (making it the most cost effective option too), lasts longer, and keeps odor more managed than any other product we've tried.

I tried absorbent pads and similar granular products packaged in individual packets before using this product. The others worked, but were too expensive and/or didn't handle both solids and liquids well. This product handles both solids and liquids well. There is no scent to the product itself, but because it absorbs and encapsulates so well, waste scent is eliminated quite satisfactorily. I feel confident that if the liner of my potty ruptures during disposal, there won't be a huge mess to contend with because everything is gellified (is that a word? LOL). As a single user I find that one container lasts for nearly 2 months and THAT makes it economical. I'm very satisfied with this product and will continue to purchase it on a regular basis. The subscription service would be great if it had a 45 day window. I live in a van and there isn't space for storing extra containers. I really appreciate this product.

The urine solidifier works very well, but the last two times I've bought it I couldn't get the bottle open. There was grit (the product) in the threads of the screwtop. I had to take it to a neighbor's house and ask their muscular son to open it for me. Please be more careful when filling the bottles.

When I camp, I use this to gel the liquid in our portable toilet for easy disposal. Have used this product for 4 years. Great product for that when you don’t have access to a Porta John or flushable toilets.

So there are cheaper brands or there are products that come in larger sizes for the same money. But this product absolutely works the best. We are on our second substitute and we are going back to it because so many others want you to put powder in prior to peeing, well, how do do you know how much you gonna pee? Or they just don’t eliminate the odor.

I am using this for my mother who must use a portable bedside commode. the powder absorbs at first, so maybe this is good for camping or some other temporary portable use. but the absorbency does not last. it re liquifies and more and more needs to be added as the toilet is used. She doesn't have the option of emptying the commode each time so it is used multiple times throughout the day. Which is fine to add more each time urine is added to the pot. But, the original amount should stay solid and it does not. and it would be useful if odor would be addressed but it isn't at all. not goo for our use.

I have a dry flush toilet in my tiny home. I started using this for the pee. It is AMAZING! Solidifies quick making changing everything a breeze. It also keeps any smell from happening. I would highly recommend this for anyone using a dry flush toilet!
