Rubber Dust Cover to Protect the M1 Carbine Magazine from Dust and Dirt. US GI Issue. Set of 20 Pieces. Review: Great product. - Well made, good fit. Review: Excellent but need a bit of care before using. Superb for their intended purpose and more - Like many are whining, these arrive with a lot of gray mold release on them. FWIW, so did the original GI issue mags. Back then, no one gave a darn about this, because they were tossed after use and they do their job perfectly. However modern day users demand that that they look good. So my solution is relatively simple. 1) spray them inside and out with silicon spray. Let them sit a bit and wipe off the spray. 2) When they dry, there will be some mold release left. Leave the inside alone as the silicon will mave installing them easier. Wipe the outside with isopropyl alcohol. Wet the rag and rip the white parts off. Voila! Pro Life Tip: Cut the pull tag off and install one on the bottom of your metal mags to protect them from dents when dropped. Install one on the top to protect the ammo from dirt and junk. By cutting off the tag, you will avoid pulling the cover off of the wrong end.

Simple and Effective
Unmarked bulk packaging. Maybe USGI, maybe not, but I can't tell difference. They do the job and fit well on USGI mags.

Trash
Photo used by the seller shows pristine example but what I received was junk. Dust covers were covered in a white residue that will not wipe off.

Cool addition
Fits both the standard 15 round and 30 mags.

It did what they were intended to do.
These are a gift for my uncle. He like them a lot. They did what they were supposed to do and he's happy and I'm happy. I recommend.
