Q: How do you turn the power on and off of the MXQ box with this remote?

The boxes do not have an on/off option. And make sure you exit whatever ui you have downloaded. Bring it back to the system screen. If not you could cause the box to fail.

Step 1: Make sure your PC (or whatever device you're using) is powered on, make sure the keyboard is fully charged and turned on, unplug the USB dongle. Step 2: Press and hold the "Fn" and “F1” keys, (The yellow light will start blinking - you're now in pairing mode) Step 3: Quickly plug the USB receiver into the USB port of your PC / Device. Step 4: Wait a moment. The keyboard will pair automatically. Step 5: When the yellow light stops flashing and blue led is on, it means the pairing was successful.

Q: Unless i am missing it there is no back button. how do i go back or go to the previous page on an android box?

It’s the right click mouse button on this remote that takes me back to previous page. It’s the bottom button next to the round directional and ok button on the top right.

My unit has a functioning up arrow. Is there something I misunderstand about your question?
