US Toy Company H117 Construction Helmet

Great little kids construction hat, inside adjustments were fantastic and let me adjust to skeleton head...no hot glue needed.

I bought this toy hard hat for my 3-year-old grandson. Made of molded plastic, it has a plastic webbing suspension liner that can be adjusted in size by fastening the plastic buttons on the belt to holes at the other end of the belt. The liner is like baseball caps that adjusted by fastening two plastic tabs - before they all changed to Velcro-type fasteners. The outside of the helmet stays the same size, but the liner adjusts to the child's head. It looks great with the child's tool belt I also bought.I returned to Amazon to buy 5 more helmets for grandchildren, whose ages range from one to five. The helmets fit all of them. The last two helmets looked slightly different than the product illustration, but the were also good-looking helmets. I've added pictures to the product page.

My 2 year old twins love this hat. As other reviewers said the inner plastic piece doesn’t hold and it’s not the sturdiest on their heads. With that being said for the little bit of time that they put it in and like to take it off it does the job.I was also able to glue the piece back in so it wasn’t the biggest problem.

This is ok quality the plastic insert to adjust to fit kids head slips out and is hard to get to stay in.

I bought these as a party favor for toddlers. They are made of a thicker plastic than the helmets advertised as party favors. I felt they were very worth the price so that kids could play with them and take them home. The thinner versions crack so easily and go straight to the trash. I highly recommend this.

I purchased this for my grandson's construction themed birthday. Unfortunately, it arrived without the internal sizing strap that numerous reviewers mentioned. Though the strap is not mentioned in the product description, it is obvious that the design is supposed to have some type of internal strap for fitting the head. Without one, there are four sharp edged sections where a strap should snap? to the helmet. These dig into your head while wearing the helmet. Even on an adult sized head, the helmet will not stay in place and easily slides off without some type of internal strap. Also, the sticker on the front was already pealing off when I took it out of the box. It will not re-stick because the tacky part is now covered in dirt. Overall, the plastic of the helmet seems sufficiently strong enough that it will last for some years as part of a kid's costume.

I haven't given this to my grandson yet, but without seeing it on his head I can say it looks welll made and very cute. The price was good and I'm sure it will be fine for him.
