Vegan Brown Mascara for Sensitive Eyes, Natural Hypoallergenic mascara, Buildable Lengthening and Volumizing for Natural Looking, Cruelty Free, Ophthalmologist Tested- By Gaya cosmetics

I'm 59, so I've been wearing mascara for a long time! I switched to "clean" (non-toxic) beauty products about 30 years ago, before it was trendy. In all that time, and after trying dozens of mascaras, till now I've never been able to find a clean mascara that is non-irritating, non-smudging, non-clumping, and also noticeably lenthens and thickens my lashes. This is IT. It really lives up to the claim of being able to create a natural or more dramatic look, depending on how many coats you apply. I love that it comes in brown. It also removes easily with just face wash and water. I hope they never stop making it!

This is my first time wearing brown mascara. I’ve had a tough time finding any mascara that provides enough coverage (volume?) AND that doesn’t irritate my super sensitive eyes. I’ve even had trouble with supposed “clean” and “hypoallergenic” formulas. This product is exceptional! Didn’t irritate my eyes at all, provided the perfect amount of coverage (great volume and still natural looking), is buildable, the brush (wand?) is the rubbery kind that I like and has a bunch of spikes on it which helps coat every lash but still keeps them separated, super easy to wash off, no flaking or smudging. There is literally not one thing that I don’t like about this mascara.

I purchased this because my sensitive eyes started to really bother me at the end of the summer. I have blonde eyelashes, so I needed a brown mascara so as not to look like a raccoon. The mascara applies very well. I use micellar cleansing water to remove it, and that works pretty well. It lasts pretty well most of the day, and it has not bothered my eyes. I am not in love with the color, and the flakiness with the removal, but overall I am counting this as a winner.

I have finally found the perfect brown mascara! This is probably the only brown mascara on the market that not only looks good but also holds well, lasts all day, and stays strong despite rain, tears, and hard work. I haven’t been able to find this particular one in Sephora, Target, or Walmart, but this seller has never let me down. The mascara can clump a bit if you use too much, but with a moderate application, it performs wonderfully. It removes very easily and doesn't smudge much at all. And best of all, it's actually BROWN! It’s surprisingly difficult to find a good brown mascara, but this one is perfect for those of us with pale skin. It makes us look more natural and less goth. The applicator brush is nice, though it does pick up a lot of mascara at once, so you might need to brush off the excess. However, this minor inconvenience is nothing compared to the benefits of this product. For my fair-skinned blonde, red-haired, and light brown-haired friends, this mascara is a game-changer! Highly recommended!

This was the best mascara I’ve ever bought. I have super sensitive eyes. Most mascara causes my eyes to become blood shot and nothing helps it to go away either. Wearing mascara is a must for my eyes since they are small and my lashes are light color. It makes a huge difference when I can put it on. But having my eyes react to most products I was about to give up on wearing it all together. I decided to try one more time and find another brand. After reading the reviews on this particular product I thought I would try it even if I wasn’t familiar with the brand plus some said they couldn’t really get it off. I was willing to risk it. I actually was able to remove it with a fragrance free baby wipe with no problem. I was happy to realize my eyes weren’t red and irritated at the end of the day. I did notice when I was wearing the mascara that it didn’t run underneath my eyes like all the other high end brands did. I sweat a lot with the work I do so having a product not run makes it a winner for me! The application brush worked great and got the lashes very well with the fine combing. It didn’t clump at all either.

I am not allergic to Gays mascara (black). I like the applicator and it goes on smoothly and looks very natural. What freaks me out is I cannot remove it easily. Tonight I tried 2 different makeup remover wipes and only succeeded in moving it from my lashes to the skin of my face, The wipes did nothing when used on my skin, I then washed my face with soap and water. Nothing. I tried moistened Qtips. Still there. Finally I used my daily face cream and a makeup remover pad and succeeded in getting it off. I could really use some advice on how best to remove this mascara. I don’t want to throw it away but can’t go thru this on a daily basis.

I have been buying this mascara on and off for the past couple of years. The first time I tried it I really liked it, but I'm easily distracted by the next shiny thing, so every time I see some new natural brand I try it. I have found a few that I like almost as much - but I always keep coming back to Gaya! I don't like makeup that looks like I'm wearing makeup - but I have very thin (and graying) eyelashes, so I always look tired if I don't wear any mascara at all. This mascara looks very natural, but makes my lashes look very full and lush - which, in my experience, is a very hard combination to achieve. It stays and stays - I can cry... I can get caught in the rain... I can take a nap... and I never get raccoon eyes! Honestly, that leads to the only thing I don't love about this mascara - I find it a little challenging to take off because my eyes are super-sensitive, and most eye makeup removers burn my eyes. Even that statement shows how much I love this mascara, though, because first of all, despite how sensitive my eyes are, I never have any irritation from the mascara itself. Secondly, because I have to rub and rub to remove it, I'm always worried about my already-sparse lashes being further decimated - but I think my lashes are actually healthier than they ever were with any other mascaras I've tried. Every time I try a new mascara, I realize I should just stick with the Gaya!

Me gusta mucho este producto. No mancha tanto como el resto cuando te desmaquilla y sobre todo, no pica cuando entra en los ojos en esos primeros momentos en los que te lavas la cara o te aplicas el desmaquillante. Además, no se me caen tanto las pestañas con el uso. No sé cuánto de saludable es pero diría que más que el resto, y he probado muchas marcas.

Um etwas mehr Verantwortung für mein Konsumverhalten zu übernehmen, war ich auf der Suche nach einer Wimperntusche, die nicht an Tieren getestet wurde. Bis jetzt haben mich aber keine der bekannten Marken aus der Drogerie (Alverde, ...) überzeugen können, da erstens das Ergebnis einfach nie mit den Standardprodukten mithalten konnte und zweitens die Tusche nach ein paar Stunden bereits besonders unter den Augen extrem verschmierte. Ich hab mich also nach mehreren Fehlversuchen über diese zwar etwas teurere, aber wirklich gut bewertete Mascara drübergetraut und ich muss sagen: das war die richtige Entscheidung! Sie macht wirklich wunderschöne, präzise getrennte, lange, intensiv schwarze Wimpern; so ein Ergebnis bekam ich nicht mal mit meiner alten Lieblingswimperntusche von Maybelline hin und auch die machte spätestens am Abend diese Pandabäraugen. Die Mascara von Gaya hält den ganzen Tag, verwischt kein Bisschen und ist mit das beste Kosmetikprodukt, dass ich bis jetzt gekauft habe. Werde sie daher sicher wieder bestellen, denn hier bekommt man ein wirklich gutes Produkt für sein Geld!! Zu dem Problem, das hier schon öfter geschildert wurde: um dem Verklumpen oder Austrocknen der Tusche vorzubeugen, pumpe ich nicht, säubere nach jeder Verwendung kurz den Fläschchenrand und schraube sie fest zu... ich hab sie jetzt seit 2 Monaten jeden Tag in Verwendung und die Konsistenz ist immer noch so wie am ersten Tag. Qualitativ hochwertig, vegan, Tierversuchs-frei - was will man mehr? Ich bin einfach begeistert; klare Kaufempfehlung!

Background to ordering this: I ordered this having become aware of the majority of 'cruelty free' or 'not tested on animals' products that actually aren't what they seem...for years I've been buying Dior and MAC, blissfully unaware they abandoned their 'no animal testing' policy back in 2012 when China introduced new laws requiring all foreign made beauty products sold in China to be tested on animals...anyway, I digress...I was still using my (clumpy +12 month old Dior Diorshow mascara) that I was determined to use up until at least 4 bouts of conjunctivitis before vowing to never buy it again...I'd been looking into alternatives when I came across this product. Having read the reviews I thought I'd part with my pennies, but remained sceptical, convinced I would never find a cruelty-free replacement mascara that would cut the mustard, so I'm glad I was wrong. The product: goes on really nicely, providing a carbon black root to tip coverage that lengthens and opens up the eyes with just one coat. It really does what it says on the tin; it gives the effect of definition and length and a natural open-eyed look. With 2-3 coats it doesn't clump and just provides a look more suited to heavy eye makeup or an evening look. I basically gave this a 3 day trial before writing this review as I wanted it to be helpful. I wore 1 coat alone and did my usual gym routine, before I got rained on and then did some heavy DIY at home...no panda eyes, no smudging, no crumbling, no black bits around my eyes from it drying out. I did the same again the following day and got really sweaty and really rained on, again, it had staying power and no panda eyes. Day 3 provided the same result, after a hard workout at the gym, more rain, slightly less heavy duty work in the home again no panda eyes. The product washes off easily and I was left with no residue and again, no panda eyes requiring an extra scrub or eye makeup remover. The applicator: is plastic and spiky, it reminds me of a gimmicky Dior one I bought a while back that (in my opinion) was basically the same product but with a different applicator. I think this applicator provides good coverage and as the mascara (at the moment) is quite wet and not gloopy at all it's perfect for the root to tip coverage and individual lash definition. As a vegan and a bit of a makeup fiend I think I've found the perfect, cruelty-free product. Thank you Gaya!
