Kills ticks once they bite
I found a tick on my dog while petting him. The tick fell onto the floor, dead, with the head attached! The tick had bitten my dog because there was a small welt but the medicine killed it! My dog is mixed breed, 50 pounds.

great for killing ticks
Great for killing ticks and fleas although fleas are not much of a problem around here. Repeals mosquitoes, too. Unfortunately it does not last a full month on ticks, more like 3 weeks, since my dogs swim almost every day.

Gets rid of fleas instantly
This is the best flea medicine I've found on the market . I had a mild flea infestation that bloomed over night into a full blown massive infestation and I tried k9 advantage and it didn't work. I tried front line plus and it took longer to kill the fleas. But the front line shield gave instant relief to my dogs. I combined front line shield along with flea and tick home treatment made by Black Flag and vacuumed 3 xs a day and within two days the infestation was gone. You have to pay attention to when its time to give your dog the next monthly dose because protection ends exactly in one month. Or you will have fleas on your dog again. I treated my yard several times and I don't care what anyone says. You can't get rid of fleas outside 100 % . your pets will get fleas again without front line shield. Best flea medicine on the market that kills the fleas instantly. My dogs had instant relief from itching and scratching.

Tried and true
I have tried all different brands of flea medicine for my dogs and I always end up coming back to Frontline. It works better than all the other brands. It might cost a little more, but it’s worth every penny.

Too Greasy, sticking with the Original Frontline
To greasy! This product left a greasy residue on my two bulldogs for over a week. The regular Frontline dries within days with no residue. While it does what it is supposed to the residue is too gross for me.
