Beautiful desk
This is truly a beautiful baby desk, despite the nine inch long scratch on top, that I easily covered with a 24" TV (also from Amazon). Even though I bought it new I never expect perfection from fallible human beings. It's not worth losing any sleep over. Anyway, it's covered, so it looks perfect, in front of the window with thermal maroon curtains (also from Amazon), to the right of my front door, and to the left of my hand carved Ming Windsor console table (also from Amazon). This rolltop won't be used for business purposes, as one might expect of a desk, but as my game station. I've got a little TV plug-in classic arcade game console (also from Amazon), that I keep under the roll. So, even if the top wasn't scratched I'd have my TV there anyway. And that desk is also the perfect size for a small efficiency like this one.

Not worth the price
Arrived damaged. READ THE FINE PRINT before purchasing. Don’t buy!!!!

They will take returns but you have to pay shipping and a restocking fee.
Very disappointed. Parts came loose in shipping and scratched up the table. The stain on the wood is poorly done and a piece underneath is cracked. Over all its a fine looking item but not well made when it comes to the finish and small parts. We would have returned it but we don't want to throw good money after bad. Won't purchase from seller again.

Desk
This is a beautiful desk. It is solid wood, and simply elegant. I think a little more care could have been taken with the finish sanding on a couple of the legs, and the staining is not consistent in a couple of spots, but I am so thrilled with the desk, as far as I am concerned, these are minor issues. A section of the writing top pulls out to allow for more workspace, this was not clear in the description. I just love it
