This book contains so much wisdom.

simple language,example and story which are familiar to a seeker.verse were easy to understand .one can read it in 5-6 hour maximum.If the author has also used sanskrit devnagari script along with English script and then it's meaning in english it would be a great joy to read.

I like everything about the book and recommend to read for spiritual seekers. Happy & delighted to have come across it.

I read this book as a follow-up to reading the book on Shiva Sutras by this author. Both the books are based on the philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism (that's similar to Advaita Vedanta) and were texts by Sage Vasugupta. I liked the concise commentary on the verses, the language and content is for a layman. There are some gems of wisdom that come out in the narration. In some patches though, I felt the book read like a motivational book. The references to Steve Jobs, Mandela are not entirely out of place. Overall a good book for anyone interested in something short and simple to understand some of the core Vedanta concepts.

Spanda Karikas offer the way to lead one's life with peace, harmony and satisfaction by knowing, understanding and experiencing the Self within. During the course of my reading, I could experience that right from my childhood to my present-day (a journey of seven decades!) there is one element that has not changed and it is that I cannot call it "mine"! It was revealed to me that in times of crisis I had referred to that "element" and It had guided me to navigate my life with confidence without being perturbed. Earlier a person reads such gems of wisdom - more so a young person who is to face life immediately after his/her education - the better. The world will be a better living place full of harmony, peace and empathy for other fellow beings as that "element" is a common thread binding the entire humanity.

This book will change your perspective towards life. This coupled with the other works by author namely Shiv Sutra , 112 meditations will provide you the knowledge that has always existed in our country. May you all be blessed with this knowledge coming directly from Lord Shiva.

Very good book. Nicely explained. Eye opener on few fundamentals.great read. Author is brilliant for such beautiful translation and understanding l.

This book has only 53 shloka - like many other classics it is small but huge in its power.This book captures beautiful ideas I have not read elsewhere outside Kashmir Shaivism - specifically elaboration of Kalaa, kaala, niyati, vidya as emergent from Maya that hinders the true view. The meanings given are highly technical and differ from the common understanding I had.

One of the best spiritual books I’ve read, this is the real “Advaita” - non-dualism without clutter. I’ve highlighted many verses to go back and study.

Good book, but it turns out to be the smallest book I’ve read since grade school. Good content.
