In my experience it lasts about 15% longer than the LP-E6N that came with my 7D Mark II.

Q: Do these require a different charger or will the oem charger work?

My 2020 Canon charger does not charge third party batteries. Had to get the STK brand charger. No big deal. I noticed previous answers are from 2014. Think Canon may have put a chip in OEM batteries that the OEM charger recognizes.
