Laxmi Traditional Indian Kerala Kuthari Matta Rice - 10lb, 4.54kg

We love this rice! There's more substance to it, more filling. It's great for someone with diabetes or if you're wanting to lose weight. We eat it because we just love it. I've purchased at least twice and really like this brand.

This rice is excellent. I cooked it in a rice cooker using the setting for brown rice and it turned out perfectly and tasted just like I remember. Yes this rice does need to be washed but not excessively and there is no ‘wax coating’ described by another reviewer. I think that person is not familiar with this type of rice. It does have the bran and some husk still on it because of the fact that it is parboiled; so washing it does remove some of that layer. Totally normal and nothing to get squeamish about. Enjoy!

never buy this rice, it contains some wax or stupid thing. even after four times of hand wash, still my hands looks like the picture. Pl. dont ruin name of Kerala by this brand.

this rice is infected with rice flees and has a coating colored brown which sticks to every surface the rice comes in contact with while washing

The rice is covered in some wax or external coating that gives a dark color and it will stick to your hands and fingers when washing
