Contigo Cortland 2.0 24oz. Water Bottle with AUTOSEAL® Lid

We have 4 or 5 of these water bottles. I love that they can be locked and have a cover, and don't require a straw. I like the squeeze button mechanism. I have carpal tunnel and can't be unscrewing a lid multiple times a day. They fit in cupholders and are a good size. 24oz lasts a while but isn't so big it weighs me down. We've had some for years and they've been on many road trips and flights. Very sturdy and bonus, they don't spray you with water when you open them after pressurization on a flight. They're very good value especially if you catch a sale. I like that they don't give water a funny taste the way stainless steel can.

The Contigo 24 oz water bottle is perfect for staying hydrated without being too bulky, and the carry handle makes it easy to take along. I also like that it’s dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning simple. Overall, this is a dependable, well-designed bottle. Great for daily use, travel, or workouts, and I would definitely buy it again.

LOVE this water bottle -- wish I had bought somthing like this years ago. The leakproof features are perfectly effective without being too cumbersome. I love that I can just press the button to take a sip, and then fully lock everything when I'm traveling with it. Highly recommend!

This is the perfect water bottle for me. I cannot stand straws, and I don't like small openings in my bottles. I have had it a Contigo bottle for over 25 years and wanted to stick to the same brand. The price was outstanding, it is easy to drink from yet it will not spill if it tips over because of the seal at the opening. It is not insulated, which is ideal for me because I do not like cold water.

My child is required to have a "clear" water bottle for school. After spending 40+ on one of the expensive, insulated, name brand bottles he came home saying he needed something else. I searched for this in a frenzy and it met all my requirements except being insulated obviously. It has a built in straw, cap that is easy to open and snaps over the mouth opening to deter germs, is easy to clean, holds enough water to last him a day at school, and has been dropped about a million times already and you would never know. Side note- that expensive name brand one I mentioned earlier broke the first time it was dropped. I will be a repeat customer if this one ever wears out.

Update: I contacted Contigo's customer service at gocontigo.com. After providing a PDF receipt from my Amazon purchase, along with some photos of the defective bottle, they sent me a new bottle free of charge. This new one does not leak; I have used it daily for a week now with both hot and cold beverages and have had no problems. Still disappointed about the volume markings, but that's no big deal. As to my concerns about being BPA free, customer service wrote: "No worries, our research lab spends countless hours developing safe, innovative drinkware products that are designed for everyday use. All materials and end products that we use are approved and tested to applicable food contact laws. All of our water bottles are BPA and BPS free, Phthalate-free and Latex-free. Many are also made from FDA approved Eastman Tritan. Eastman Tritan is far more durable than a traditional plastic and helps resist against stains and odors. Our gaskets are made from high-quality, durable, food-safe silicone and are BPA-free. Validation that this plastic is BPA-free is supported by robust testing by independent third-party accredited laboratories. Your health and safety are of the utmost concern to us. I was very pleased with the level of customer service that I received from the agent. ___ Original review [one star]: As a replacement for my Camelbak I bought this Contigo 24 ounce bottle, licorice color. Terrible decision. I love the design of the cap but it fails in its most basic obligation--it leaks. I use this bottle for my coffee; I put in the sugar and cream, then the coffee. I screw on the cap and shake it and it spills all over. I make sure the button is locked; I make sure not to push the button; I make to screw the cap on very tightly and I flip the spout cover closed. None of this matters, though, as the coffee comes out through the spout. Another negative is that I wanted a BPA free product. The Amazon page states that both the lid and the bottle are BPA free, but nowhere on the bottle or the lid is there text that reads that. Did I get what I paid for? I don't know; I have no way of knowing if this is BPA free. As for the measurement, I liked that my Camelbak had lines for 8, 16 and 24 ounces. This bottle only has a line at 24. Finally, nowhere in the Amazon page does it warn that this bottle is only for cold or room temperature liquids. It is only after you receive it that you learn it is not supposed to be used with hot liquids. I thought 8,000+ reviews meant a pretty solid product, especially with so many stars. This has been a complete waste of almost $20. I will contact the vendor and see what can be done, otherwise it will go in the recycling bin.

The design of this bottle allows you to drink while reclining without spilling, so it's perfect for a patient who can't sit up, or perfect for someone like me who drinks in the middle of the night. Sometimes I have arthritis flares that might make it very hard to sit up and drink, so I leave a bottle on the bed next to me. It works great and is simple to drink from, with a good flow that I don't have to suck to make the water come out, even if lying on my side. I've never had need for the locking switch but I can see it would be helpful if throwing the bottle in a bag. You still need to press the button to get it to flow, so the need for the switch would be pretty rare imo. The 24 ounce is a good size that's borderline too tall but the narrowness means it would fit in any cup holder. I got mine for about $12 or $13, which was a great buy. I'm back to buy another and it's gone up to about $14 or $15 but I think it's worth it. I've had mine about 6 months and love love it. I'm getting a 2nd one so in case they ever discontinue it, I'll have a spare.

Fantastic water bottle for workouts. Water comes out easily when button is pushed. No straw which is great. Size is great. Not too big. Fits in car cup holder. Best water bottle contigo makes.
