Oh this ink is spot on
This ink has the right flow, right drying time. The colour's spot on. The bottle feels premium and the packaging was good. Using this ink makes you wonder why would you go back to cheap inks. Of course you need the right paper and pen, so it doesn't bleed, but if you are buying this I know, you would searched for all this

Ink bottle cap broken and leaked all over.
Pilot ink is always fine and I am using it regularly for a long time as well. I got the bottle cap broken and ink loakes all over the packing. Almost 25% ink is lost.

Superb
Visually and design-wise the ink bottle is a treat. That's the first impression one has, and one wants to write with it! The ink itself is beautiful. It writes a little darker than you'd expect looking at the bottle - not the bright turquoise ink I remember from my adolescence, instead the shade is closer to the one that's on the carton. Writing with a Sailor Medium, I love the flow, although it's a little less dense than the sailor inks I'm used to, and it won't stand up to water at all. This is an ink to love and remember. Can't wait to try a few of Pilot's other shades.

Great Color, amazing consistency
Great consistency. The Color of this green is much much better and the flow from my sheffar pen is nicer with this ink.

Gorgeous
Beautiful ink. Using with a medium nib Kakuno (same nib as the metropolitans) is a heavenly journaling experience. The dried ink retains it's pink-ness, absolutely legible, but not quite a blue-black, of course. Would personally use with a wetter / broader nib ( I have Syo-Ro in my fine nib pen I use for maths, etc)

Excellent service and a beautiful forest green ink in a fairly sturdy container. The color looks fantastic and it's totally worth the purchase.

It's Yama-Budo. What else is there to say? Wet and smooth, the sheen, the color. It's a favorite for a reason. The bottle design, the quality, the value.

The one complaint I hear from many people who haven't tried this ink and the reason most haven't tried it is becasue of the price. True it is fairly expensive compared to many other good inks but the pleasure of writing with it makes up the difference and more. Compared to other more expensive inks this seems like a bargain. I have had the pleasure of trying most of the colors in this collection and I really do like all of them but orange is my favorite color so I am naturally drawn to this color. For purposes of this review however, I will talk about the characteristics and quality that represent the whole line of colors (I have not tried the newest colors released a couple of weeks ago in the US). One of the characteristics many fountain pen users appreciate in their inks is how well the shade. I believe these to be some of, if not, the best ink for that particular quality. I also love the fact that they are all heavily saturated, and offer unique colors. I have not officially timed their individual dry times but I can tell you that they are not remarkably quick drying inks. So they are not inks that you would want to take quick notes with if you have to close your notebook quickly. Another issue for some people will be their lack of waterproofing. Which I assume also means they are not the best for check writing or important documents. But for times when you are writing for pleasure and want to enhance that pleasure with some beautiful ink this is a wonderful choice. Besides the beauty the ink offers Pilot has really gone over the top with their packaging and bottle. The Japanese influence in the design and craft of the product from start to finish is noticeable. As a whole this is a wonderful product that has been made with attention to detail.
