Quality line at a good price
Works as well as any other monofilament. Can be used as leader or main line. It wasn't so thick that it couldn't be cut, but it wasn't thin either. When it comes to value, I got a good 2 and a half spools on a baitcaster and 1 full spool on a spinning reel. It rarely tangles or birdsnests with my baitcaster, but that could depend on skill with the rod.

Best mono ever IMO.
Berkley Trilene XL is what I think is the best monofilament on the market. This line is strong and supple. It has a small dia. and is also easy to work with. I think I have used XL since the 70'S. I have had very few break offs and I think that was due to the drag being set too tight. I don't ever recall a knot breaking. I just bought a line other than XL few weeks ago that might be close to as good as XL. The only reason I bought it was because I wanted a line that was high vis and Trilene XL doesn't come in high vis. I didn't feel any other Berkley monos had all the qualities of XL in the line test I was looking for. Also XL connects with other line tests without any problems. I have complete faith in the high vis green for use in the waters I fish. However with certain applications I think it is important to see your line that is out of the water. My eyes just can't do that any more with clear or low vis. Come on Berkley, market a high vis XL. I recommend XL and will buy it again. I hope. Mike

Berkley never disappoints!
I recently set up some of this mono (clear 10 lb test) to target trout and I was blown away how durable it was out in the water even though it was pretty thin. I had countless snags on twigs, rocks, etc. and the line and my knots held up every time. It's nearly invisible in the water which is perfect when targeting species which tend to be line shy. You can't beat the price point and quality of product you're receiving. Happy fishing everyone.

Quality line
I use this primarily for light line panfishing. I have tried others and always come back to this. Casts well and line memory has not been an issue.

Great line for leader line.
I use this for leader line. Holds a knot and holds up well on striped bass and catfish.

Great for ultralight fishing
This line works exactly like you’ll want it to at a good price point. The thickness is comparable to hair, and is a high quality product that has a good amount of stretch for preventing line snaps. It prevents me from losing fish in that regard, but also is lightweight enough that I don’t have trouble breaking the line if I get snagged. Couldn’t be more happy with the product.
