Quality product
Functions as expected; easy to use; average Chinese manual. The 12 v power adapter and on/off switch are in-line. Kinda messy; would have preferred a wall wart with the on/off switch on the main unit. Very nicely made. For example, brass inserts are used for all screws. The watch stand is very nice. I have no way to check the frequency accuracy but there is almost no drift between a Baume & Mercier that shows 0 s/d drift and a cheap DDS signal generator. If you have an oscilloscope, you can observe the microphone output by connecting a probe to the pad marked 'A' and the probe ground to the pad marked 'GND' on the printed circuit board. I soldered pins to these pads and leave the back cover off.

A great tool for any watch repair bench working on mechanical movements.
Easy to set up; works well. I wish the instructions explained the data gathered more thoroughly.

Very nice watch timer, but...
This is a very well-made watch timer. I would have given it 5 stars in all categories except that the watch holder does not do well with the typical large watches of today such as Seiko 5 Automatics, Tags, Rolex Submariners and other diver type watches. When you rotate the watch face down it will likely fall out so you have to be very careful to have it sitting on something soft. Also the watch holder has an inconvenient stop that only allows 180 degree rotation of the face (around the direction of the watchband). You can also rotate the entire mechanism which in theory should work okay but this stops you from tracking the watch time with a 45 degree downward angle unless you mount the watch upside down which won't pick up the ticks in many cases. However, it is possible to work around these problems so its still a good value at this price but it would be REALLY nice if they allowed the holder to rotate 270 degrees like higher-priced systems.

Awesome Timegrapher!
Works amazing! A must have for all mechanical watch enthusiasts! Ordered it and in less than 24hrs it was at my door and I was regulating watch movements!

Some may find the price too high for a hobbyist but then you'll have to live with factory settings which isn't the most accurate. The timegrapher is rather simple to use even with the mediocre written manual. If the manual isn't sufficient for you, there's plenty of video tutorials out there to help you set it up. The only thing a bit off was the microphone cable connector. For my unit, it had a threaded ring which was meant to secure the connector to the back of the timegrapher. The problem was the timegrapher had no place for this threaded ring to screw onto it. Looking through numerous pictures of the timegrapher on the internet, it appears this timegrapher (Model: 1000) never had it; perhaps it was for the more expensive models (Model 3000, 6000 etc...). In the end, it didn't matter so, I won't deduct a star for it. With this tool I was able to dial in my watch (Miyota 82S0) to +/- 3 second / day. Make sure you research on everything about the movement used in your watch (i.e. lift angle, location of the regulator) before doing any work on it.

Received my unit. Very quick shipping and very well packed item. BUT, they send the incorrect power supply. The one supplied is made for European 220 volts 2 pins and does not fit in our Canadian wall socket. I had a spare power supply on hands to power up the unit, otherwise, the unit works extremely well and very accurate and ultra fast shipping and super well packed for shipping. Will buy again from that company.
