This set offers enough different sizes to set a wide range of bearing races. It is a good set for occasional use. I probably replace a pair of bearings once per year and this will do the trick. Sets the race solidly with no damage.

This tool did a great job of installing the new outer bearing races on my trailer hubs! I used a hard plastic mallet to drive the tool so I wouldn’t damage it. I also used a thin layer of grease inside the hub. I started installing the races using a block of wood until they were flush with the hub. I found it was easier to keep the race straight in the hub this way. Once flush, I drove the races the rest of the way with this tool. I did not use a metal hammer. Prior to this, I removed the old bearing races by bracing a brass rod (which did not mar the surface) against the back ridge of the bearing race and carefully tapping on it, moving in a circular direction around the ridge until it dropped out of the hub.

Decent tool at a decent price. I bought this set because I was replacing all races, bearings, and seals on my tandem axel boat trailer. I picked this particular set because it is the same one in my local autozone loaner program, however theirs is beat to heck and belongs in the garbage. Anyhoo... I knew it would suit my needs & it performed just fine. I subsequently ended up having to do bearings, races & seals on my fathers single axel trailer, and again it worked great. The case could use some improvement, but at least it has a case. All in all I’m happy with this purchase.

For what this kit cost, it was a good buy. They do what they are suppose to do

I needed something to seat races for my boat trailers and my utility trailer. This fits the bill. I would not call this pro quality for everyday use, but if you are like me and replace races and bearings once a year, it is a great deal. Just did the hubs on one of my boats today and this tool perfromed as expected.

These worked great. They are soft metal so they did not damage the neck on my Harley. Took about 2 minutes to install the new race. They do get marred up a little, but that is expected with soft metal, and better this tool to get dinged up than my motorcycle or the race itself. So great deal!!

Good for small jobs. The handle is a little flimsy.

Not the best manufactured tool. Light usage imo for odd diy jobs. Try higher priced options if you are driving bearings and races on the regular.
