Useful guide for developing the building blocks of resilience
I took my time reading this book so I could really reflect on and apply the advice of each characteristic shared by resilient people. It has been a challenging time and I felt the book really did give me practical steps to take to address my situation. I finish this book knowing there is still a lot of work to do but feeling better about my ability to handle life's challenges. I definitely will read this again when I need a refresher.

Very good but too general...
I wish I could give this book five stars because while it certainly is a good read and provides much worth knowing and practicing in life to help develop resilience, I find it lacks specific applications to defined readers. Somebody said a book for everybody is a book for nobody. I am a widowed male age 83 and find it somewhat difficult to use in my situation. It may be very useful to younger people but I need something that relates better to issues in aging. I wish the author would use her knowledge to address resilience skills needed to survive and thrive in old age including the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual aspects.Thanks..

Dr. Montiminy nailed it. This book is revolutionary. The process that she describes is simple yet effective, and backed with great support. The book is really well-written and easy and fun to read. It's interactive too (spaces for you to fill in) which allows you to read it more actively and I feel it helped me stay more focused on the changes I want to make in my life. I look forward to a better life for myself after reading this book. Thank you, Dr. Montminy!! You are a genius, a wonderful writer, and quite beautiful too.

Easy read, and easy to follow the 21 days.
I would suggest having a planner to keep track of the 21 days, for this is definitely something you will want to add to your planner for continued tracking and to actually help you change into the resilient person you want to become.

Sold as “very good”. Book jacket crumpled in two spots. Writing in front cover.Disclosure should have stated more with a rating closer to “good”.

Resilience as a skill - building a muscle - excellent!
Insightful writing with effective interaction if the reader chooses to engage. Even if you don't actually fill out the interactive sections (perhaps reading on Kindle without a notebook) just reading the questions is going to be thought provoking and stimulate your thinking. As someone who works as a resilience coach with executives I found the perspectives fresh and yet based on time tested principals. Highly recommended.

Even if you feel overwhelmed with all the suggested daily activities, use this book as a resource guide. I believe it affords the reader an opportunity to self-reflect which can be just as powerful as completing all the daily activities.
