This is a great toy to get yourself or the kids away from the screen for a couple of minutes. It requires just enough effort to be engaging but is easy to do and mesmerizing to watch. It's made of plastic so if it bumps into something or goes off course it won't break or really damage anything. It spins on a variety of surfaces (wood floors, rubber matts, my kids' trampoline). If you buy two you and someone else can battle to see whose spins the longest or if they bump into each other see which one is the last one standing. It's a great, simple toy.

Ok, it's a top for beginning, plastic point so it makes no noise, not too resistant (I recommend starting always on soft fround until you get it). The string's not the best, it was beginning to unbraid itself. The biggest problem is the platic loop. It sticks out before you throw the top. Now, I'm not an expert, but I have one-year practice and know how to do the boomerang, and trying to advance to further tricks. What I mean is I shouldn't have any problem to throw the top to spin on the ground. I can do it with the loop thing, but it's very tricky for a beginner. And trying it without the loop, like in the picture in the card (just putting the string around the top part) I don't get it to spin well.. So in general I wouldn't recommend this product for a beginner. Any other will probably work better; I have a Saturno and it's great, any Cometa will probably be better.

Ok top for beginners, made of plastic. Balancing is decent, but if dropped at all the spin is not very smooth due to plastic tip

Superb toy. It came broken twice and had to be returned. Sad couldn't use it.

There are two clips on each side to hold the "lid" closed - the string can be stored inside. One of these broke off almost immediately during "normal" top use, making the whole top unusable.

Was not of good quality. Broke shortly after use

Fun to try the skills again.
