this is an awesome little machine if you take a lot of medications as i do. works like a charm.

This pillbox works well and was what we needed for my mother. My mom was doubling up on her meds accidentally, which was dangerous as one is a blood thinner. It is easy to program and fill.The downsides are that the patient must pick it up and turn it over in order for the alarm to stop. It says “thank you” after its turned, but for a geriatric patient, it can be awkward for them. The other downside is that for the cost, it should have an easier to use lock/key. You have to get it positioned just right to lock and unlock while being careful not to turn it too much or you could strip/break the lock.Overall- it works well and the fact that my mom can no longer double up on meds, makes it worth every penny.

this is a plugin model which is good, we had another one i had to put batteries in every 4 days, used it about a week know and is working good.

I am the healthcare power of attorney for an elderly person who is starting dementia. I had high hopes for this product to help her stay on scheduled with her meds. The product arrived several days earlier than scheduled, which I was very pleased about. However, when I opened the box the back of the unit fell off, the small buttons o rolled all over the place. I am so disappointed the back wasn't secured. it took me three tries to get the back into place. I didn't have the proper size tool to tighten the micro screws. Therefore, I had to use a tool that tightens glass frames. Once I secured the back I realized one of the button was crooked. I'm really not happy how the product arrived. The back should have been secured. Now, I cannot get the back off again to straighten the button. I have return the product. Cannot afford to have the person trying to use this product defective out of the box...SMH.

This product functions as expected, except for the closure/lock feature. The latch that keeps the lid closed is plastic. After two months of use (filling four times) the latch broke so the lid would not stay closed. There is no way to fix this latch, so we have to tape the lid down making it hard to refill and not securely closed. When the lid is loose it allows pills to move into other slots when the dispenser is tipped. This can be very dangerous. This lid latch is a very poor design.
