DeSantis Nemesis Sig P238 Ambidextrous Black

This is a nicely made product, but it needs a clip of some sort. The quality is good, and it's strong enough, but it pulls out of the pocket with the weapon, and it slides around under the belt. It would probably work well as a belly holster if you wear tight jeans.

Desantis is a better brand than the others that are available.

I've been using my pocket holster every day for a week now and I would say that I'm fairly happy with this holster. I will say the holster is pretty stiff when you first get it and I wasn't sure if I would like it so I decided to wait a week before I reviewed it. Now that I've broken in the holster my pistol slips in and out nicely when I draw it from my pocket without the holster coming out with it. For those that are considering this holster there are a couple things I will mention that still bother me. If you have the extended sig magazine on your p238, you will see some printing of the handle so this would probably not be a good holster to have if you tuck in your shirt. If you are wearing pants with deep pockets, usually shorts, an untucked shirt still won't cover it. Even pants with shallower pockets I still have to constantly pull down the end of my shirt to cover the handle of my pistol. The other thing that kind of bothers me, and it's probably just me thinking about it too much, is that the thickness at the bottom of the holster is uneven so it doesn't really look like a wallet or something square in your pocket. My wife says she wouldn't think it was a gun if she didn't know I had one in my pocket so I guess it's not that big of a deal. All in all this is a decent pocket holster.

Great little holster. The triggerguard is nearly completely covered except for the very minimal amount where it connects to the grip. This fits the P238 perfectly - slides right in, and slides right out. The inside is very soft material, the exterior is a bumpy surface where the little bumps don't feel very sticky, but they're prominent (without being sharp). The Nemesis is not ultra sticky - if you want something stickier, get the superfly. I find that as the holster warms up in your pocket, and gets a little moist, the tackiness increases and retention improves. Otherwise, this holster does pull up as you draw from it - it hasn't ever come out of my pocket during a practice draw, though. I've been using this for about a week, wearing it at home to break it in, and it's super comfortable. It's got just the right about of cushioning where I feel that it's there, and it's protecting my P238, but it's not bulky by any means. When swapping my wallet for this, it's completely indistinguishable in the pocket from a wallet. I like that. Initially, I used the SigTac pocket holster that came with my P238 Sports 12, but it seemed a bit too big. I will continue wearing that one occasionally to try and break it in to see how it goes, though. No sense in wasting it. I also my trim off the "flap" from the SigTac, as it adds a lot of bulk. This holster is perfect for pocket carry, I'm very pleased.
