My daughter asks to wear her fancy shoes everywhere. She loves them! They are comfortable, and the heel is practical for a five year old. The bottoms are a non-slip material. The Velcro makes it easy to put them on and take them off. They run slightly bigger than her other shoes, but that has allowed her to wear them longer. The sparkles do not shed, and the shoes seem to be durable. We have lost some beads and charms, but these shoes get worn OFTEN!
