Q: I have rolls of adhesive sandpaper. Can I change the pad from hook and loop to a regular pad ?

The CMCW220B is designed to be used with a hook and loop pad. It is not recommended to be used with any other pad.

Q: Is this sander comfortable using a 4ah battery?

Looking at mine, it would appear that it can only accept the 2.0 size lithium battery but I am not an expert. I have used this model every week for 2 years now and am still on the same battery. It takes about 45 minutes to charge and sands for about 17 min.
