Wanted to give this a go to explore better ways of making coffee. Tried to follow various instructions on YouTube with not great success so took the approach to roast by continually reviewing and adapt the temp based on how the beans were looking. The roasting took around 10mins in total. Coffee connoisseur may cringe at my amateur efforts but the coffee came out with a smooth taste, plenty of creamer and didn’t have a lingering taste. I would say better than coffee beans bought pre-roasted but does take extra time. All in all very pleased!

I roast to medium around beginning or end of first cracks and there's barely any sournes in this one so if you dont like sour or fruity coffee that's the one to go. It's great "coffee" tasting coffee with no other flavours.

I usually prefer to buy my coffee green and roast it myself. This was the worst coffee I have ever tasted. It's so bad that I roasted the rest and use it as a room fragrance. I made a mistake to buy this by trusting the reviews on Amazon.

Electric Air Roasted Domestic JOYA 1400W in Fully Automatic Mode created this Deep Roasted Espresso Beans. For Maual Roasting Mode we can control (1) Temperature Changes 180 Volt to 240 Volt , approximately 7 Volt for each heat level , maximum 285'C auto pause for 3 seconds for safety reason before automatic restart (2) Time or Duration of Roasting 0 to 15 minutes (3) Fan Speed. All 3 most important variables can be manually controlled. (4) Automatic Air Cooling 5 minutes. Very basic gadget. Computer software connection is not available. I have to rely upon (1) Bean Colour changes through excellent glass roasting chamber , (2) Smell Aroma, (3) 1st and 2nd Crack, (3) Amount of Smoke (5) Oily appearance after the 2nd Crack. I will never buy any supermarket ready roasted coffee beans because of their disadvantage long storage date . I can smell nasty unpleasant odor when i open Starbucks Dark Espresso Roasted beans eventhough the sell by date is one more year to go. So far I have ordered total of 3Kg Raw Green Beans from our superb supplier of Rounton Coffee supplier. I am very grateful to them for supplying raw green coffee beans to Home Barista Coffee Enthusiast who is learning to roast as my hobby.
