They are very stiff plastic and hard to get a good thorough crack throughout the stick. First one I tried, I was going to lightly use pliers to help crack it and I ended up with two eyes full of glowing stuff. I luckily had water handy so it didn’t burn too bad. I’ve had them explode with my hands also. If you recently cut your finger nails, forget about it. They only glow bright enough for a bobber maybe 2 or 3 hours before you can hardly see it. All of the glow settles to one end, so if it’s in a pole or bobber holder of any kind you lose visibility even sooner. Other sticks I’ve used are much more flexible and won’t break under reasonable use and last much longer. I found the point useful maybe a handful of times, but it is made to break off, so don’t think you will be sticking in anything like a foam bobber. Just a few things I wish I knew before buying. I wouldn’t get them again. Stiffness, breaking, and longevity are all reminders every time I use them why these aren’t good.

I melt the tip just a little and mushroom the head. (Be careful if you try this, if to much heat is applied, it will pop and get fluid everywhere)This allows me to tie onto my leader line. When I'm ready to fish, just break and shake on the line. Works great.Oh and pro tip: Don't try to crush with your teeth either. It will also break and the stuff taste horrible and your tongue glows...or so I've heard. 😆

Bright and worked exactly as intended, cracked one and it's still is glowing 24 hours later although a good bit dimmer (not the one pictured) so it'll be perfect for a few hours of night fishing

By far the best glow stick I have ever seen in my entire life. When I first saw these I thought it was a pretty neat idea that i could make any of my plastic baits glow. After cracking the first glow stick i was VERY happy with how bright it was, but thats not what blew my mind. The single glow stick was still glowing the next day, and the next day AND THE NEXT!!!! One single glow stick stayed glowing for over 72 hours. Amazing!Definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing again!

I was very pleased with the brightness and glow time of these Glow Sticks. Easy to insert into soft baits used for ice fishing.

It last 4 hrs. Nice sharp point to install the tube into plastic baits. Will buy the bulk pack next time.
