We bought this car seat a year ago for our toddler son. Having bought 4 previous car seats (one infant, 2 convertible and one for air travel), this is the best we own. The two previous convertibles were both by Britax and they were difficult to recline, hard to clean, and for one of them, the soft parts just kept coming off. If our son fell asleep in any of these, his head would hang, and we had so much difficulty adjusting the recline. This Chicco fit-4-adapt has been perfect! Our son's head is perfectly cradled when he falls asleep. It's super easy to adjust the recline, and our son has been safe in it. He has also been very comfortable and happy to get into his car seat. I just disassembled the car seat so I could clean it and wash the soft good, and it was an easy process. The instructions for disassembling and reassembly are clear and easy to follow. I also like the ease of finding replacement parts (cup holder and crotch strap) from Chicco. We needed an infant car seat for a new baby, and this is the brand we've gotten as well since we now trust Chicco. We're looking forward to more safe years with Chicco in this Fit4 Adapt, and in the new infant seat. Highly recommended!

We’ve been using this car seat for over 6 months. We live where it’s very hot, which is one reason we bought this particular car seat. Our baby sweats in the other car seats we’ve tried, but not this one. He’s about average height for an 18 month old and has a good amount of leg room. The straps don’t have a lot of extra room for him to grow, but so far it hasn’t been a problem. Definitely 5 stars. Pricey but worth it. We bought one for each of our vehicles.

We bought a Chrysler Pacifica with stow and go seating to learn after the fact that there are literally 3 seats that will work in all rows in all modes (RF, FF, and FF with a high back booster) due to funky headrests in the vehicle. As such we needed to replace our Graco 4ever and went with this (one of the 3 that DOES work in all positions, and all modes!) What have I been doing for the past 3 years?! (my daughter's age) This seat is SO SO easy to tighten! The straps are not short at all...not sure where that is coming from. My daughter's head is much more supported. The cup holders are easier for her to get things out of, and the install was a breeze. We're thrilled! We're adopting a 4 year old boy and I am due with our youngest in November. We ordered 3 of these seats to fit our vehicle and we are so glad we made this choice!

Perfect car seat, very comfortable, nice quality. Easy to install and use. My son feels very comfortable in the car seat. Highly recommend

This is our third Chicco seat that we purchased to replace one that was in an accident. First off, these seats are so well made and sturdy that I feel confident my daughter will be safe. The padding feels comfortable yet thick. And I love how versatile it is in being able to grow with her. I especially love the fabric on this seat, as we drive a smaller suv with no vents in the back seat which makes it harder to cool a rear facing kiddo. She stays cool and happy during our rides! It’s also so simple to install. We move these around fairly regularly and it takes me maybe two minutes to securely install it each time using the LATCH system!

Several reviews complain about the straps being too short. They’re not. All you have to do to lengthen the straps is raise the headrest.

This car seat contours are perfect for the baby’s body structure. It provides a snug fit for both hip and neck. Tried others with uneven fitting but this car seat provides a very comfortable seating position for the baby. Love the extra cup holders on both sides and the option to remove them if needed extra space.

God forbid you have a baby who gets carsick in this seat. It is a herculean task to break down all the permeable pieces and reassembling it isn't any easier. I consider myself pretty adept mechanically speaking, and this thing takes me at least a half hour (realistically I think it took at least 45 minutes, but I didn't time it) or more to get it fully reassembled. Some of the plastic tabs seem to be too large for the amount of give the fabric has at certain tension points (around the cup holders) to slide back into position. Lends an extra unpleasantness to cleaning up vomit. And who needs that? I like the safety features and other than this thing being very heavy, it is relatively easy to install in the car. That said they need to do better on practical features. As a side note re other reviews about the straps.. The straps absolutely adjust, but you have to depress the yellow button hidden under the mesh layer near the bottom of your child's feet FULLY (while making sure you're keeping the strap pull tab under it free) and then tug the straps together at the shoulders to loosen.
