Easy to Clean - Stays Sealed
We bought some of the store brand squeeze food packets for our young baby/toddler and discovered how incredibily wonderful they are for traveling and just day-to-day use. Although we still buy store-brand packets for when we travel, we use the Squooshi packets most of the time to make our own when we have time and can refrigerate it. We have used a couple different brands, and for us, the Squooshi has been the best and this is why. By far, the reason we love the Squooshi packets more than the others is that they are super easy to clean since we can fit our regular kitchen scrub brush inside it perfectly. When you put the brush inside the pouch it's a bit of a tight fit, but it will not split the pouch and you can rotate it while it's in the pouch (we have done this hundreds of times). We specifically use the 3m Company 650-12 "Scotch-brite" Heavy Duty Dish Wand which you can get in almost every grocery store. Also, the pouches seal really well and our toddler can't open the bottom. They are easy to fill and can be reused hundreds of times before being worn-out. We looked at using the "filling station" and other devices that allow you to more easily fill the pouches, but for us, it's simply easier and faster to spoon the food into the bottom of the pouch, and since you're not using a special device to fill it, you have fewer things to wash and store in the kitchen. The cap sizes seem to be universal because if you lose them you can use ones from store-bought packets and they fit fine. We've never had a packet come undone either, so the bottom of the packet stays sealed quite strongly. In fact, it can be difficult to reopen to clean it, but better that then the alternative. We use a juicer that also has a feature to make baby food, specifically, the Omega NC800 HDR 5th Generation Nutrition Center Juicer, Red , which has been great and is easy to clean. We also have a Vitamix which we love and can also be used to make baby food, but we have found the juicer to be the better tool for the job. Also, our toddler loves fresh carrot/spinach/apple/ginger juice, which the Vitamix can't do. If you have any questions about the pouches or anything else, just ask in the comments and I'll do my best to respond promptly.

Good Product
It’s a good product. It seems big but actually fits less inside probably like about 3oz or 4oz any more than that it doesn’t seal properly and ends up leaking. But I really enjoy this product, easy to fill, easy to clean.

UPDATE AFTER 1.5 YEARS + SAVINGS BREAKDOWN: Very impressed STILL
Updates after 1.5 years of use + SAVINGS CALCULATED: We have used these almost daily for 1.5 years. They still hold up great with no leaks. The only casualty has been the lids which my toddler threw away- not at all a product default though. I am always surprised at the amount of pouches for children that include a significant amount of added sugar, so I am very thankful to have this option especially when my child eats multiple a day. CALCULATIONS: Because I would have wanted someone to do this for me: Pre packaged applesauce pouches: Sam's club- (extra discount offered now) .44¢ per pouch. This is the LOWEST price of any store around at the time I'm writing this, even Aldi. - 3 pack of 46 oz Motts no sugar added applesauce is $8.48 which is .06¢/oz. (Works out to be .18¢ per homemade pouch since the pouch holds 3 ounces) (sometimes I buy applesauce at Aldi or Meijer which is very similarily priced) - savings of .26¢ per pouch when filling and using the reusable pouches - assuming my toddler eats one a day (he normally wants more than 1) this is a savings of $141 this past year and a half (.26¢/day for 545 days) About $100 a year in savings from just applesauce. This does not included the savings from the yogurt pouches I make with these!! TIPS AND TRICKS - to wash, I let all 6 get dirty/accumulate over 1-2 days. I rinse them and then let them sit in a bowl in the sink with warm water and vinegar. After sitting for sometime I give a light wash and rinse. This cleans the crevices in the top and leaves them smelling neutral - to fill, I put the applesauce lid on the counter, put the plastic mouth piece on the lid so no applesauce leaks out, and dump applesauce in leaving about 2 fingers of space at the top. (Awkward confession) I usually use my teeth to chomp the zipper closed (I'm sure it's not recommended) but this is quick and easy for me when I usually have limited time. Using your hands works just fine too. If you want to laugh, read my original review on the precise steps I took vs now! A GREAT PRODUCT I AM HAPPY TO SUPPORT Original review: I purchased the small size/3.4 oz which holds a little over 1/4cup. I bought these for two reasons: 1. My toddler wants more independence so letting him choose his animal and hold his own snack not only gives him confidence but nutrition 2. Aid giving liquid medicine (iron supplement). I add the supplement to the mixture, put in the bag and down it goes. This saves easily 20 minutes of our day vs trying to spoon feed him it! I am so far very impressed with the seal on these. The fear of a pouch popping open was what prevented me from buying reusable pouches for a while but I have had no issues with these. In fact, the only con for me is that the bottom seal can actually be difficult to open! I have been using these daily with high performance every day- I would recommend these and am happy with the purchase. Pros + Cost effective- the price in store (at least 50¢ a pouch) adds up big time! + Variety of options- we have made so many different combinations of fruits, veggies (spinach has been great to include because you can't taste it AT ALL- I was SHOCKED), yogurt, applesauce etc + No mess- stays sealed + Pleasant designs +Easy to clean- I use a bottle brush for the pouch part and the nipple cleaning part for the spout and cap Cons - the seal is TIGHT (again, just what I was looking for) but this makes it difficult to open when it's time to clean! It took me a few tries to figure out a method TIPS 1. Put cap on before filling 2. Get small spoon and scoop in (so easy) 3. Pre mix before putting in pouch- you can get it to mix in the pouch if combining ingredients but it takes longer 4. Fold the empty part of the bottom over when filling it (think tooth paste tube that you are trying to get all paste to the usable part) to be able to get the most possible in

These are a hit (with parents and kid!)
Love this set! - Easy to fill (takes like 5 seconds) - Easy to wash (I usually run some water in the top while they're still closed, shake it around, and then do the same from the bottom side and we're done. As long as you don't let it dry, the food doesn't stick and they take 15 seconds to wash. For drying, I put them over a wooden spoon so the air can dry out the inside too). - Cute patterns (I'm probably having more fun than the baby is) - Each animal has a see-through belly, so you can tell what food is in there - Zipper is STRONG - have not had any trouble with the pouch opening, even when we put them in the diaper bag for travel A couple things to be aware of - Food can still leak out the suck-spout, even if the zipper is closed (especially if your kiddo decides to slap a lidless pouch of carrot puree around while you aren't looking - the dog had his work cut out after that). - They are kind of big (a little larger than my phone, definitely bigger than pre-filled pouches at the grocery store). At first I was worried my 8mo wouldn't be able to hold them well, but she's figured it out (and this means we can put her whole 5-6 oz meal in one if we want). Overall, DEFINITELY recommend this brand.

These were a big hit with the kids and I found them quite easy to fill. The seal is very good quality and I was happy to find that it is on the bottom of the pouch, not the side, which makes them very easy to clean as well and makes them very easy to seal after filling. All I used was a bottle brush to clean and sat them on a small rectangular container to air dry. Each pouch comes with its own lid and the colours are as vibrant as in the pictures.

It is a lot simpler to send fruit compote and soups in my kid's lunch box. There easy to clean and they can be put inside the dishwasher which I love.

very handy, used them when i traveled. Just make sure the food is very soft and in very small pieces so it doesn’t get clogged.
