DUPATTA BAZAAR Woman's Embroidered Chiffon Dupatta Scarf Shawl Wrap Soft

I pieced this with a formal, simple red dress and was highly complimented. It is a beautiful piece except they stitched it in white thread. During the outdoor wedding ceremony where I wore this, the sun was hot on my neck so I slipped it over my head. The white thread caught and broke on a sequin of my dress. I had to break off the OBVIOUS white threads that dangled against my red dress. White thread on a red scarf was a poor dressmakers decision. Now that the thread is broken, to maintain the integrity of the item, I'll have to restitch it all in red, and remove all the white thread, which is probably a good idea as it is obviously a very poor quality of thread to break on first and only use.

So glad I bought this, I had attended a Diwali party this year which my coworker/friend had hosted. I really wanted to pay my respect to her culture and wear the appropriate attire for the festivities. Now I learned it’s better to be wearing colors other than black, as it is the Festival of Lights. I had thought of going to an Indian clothing shop to purchase a saree. However, when I looked at the price I just couldn’t afford it. But my goodness I love the colorful fabrics of traditional Indian wear. So I thought what could I incorporate with an outfit that I already have for this celebration. When I came across this dupatta I was sold on the price which was roughly $14 and the fact that the seller was able to ship it to me within 2-days, perfection! I received a wonderful compliment from the host as she mentioned the dress I have with dupatta really made me look like I was wearing a saree and that was all I wanted to feel a part of the culture and give my respects to her family and friends in light of the holiday. Which was a whole lot of fun!

Nice duppata. The gold trim is a little off, and doesn't lay right around the edge, but overall, if it's for one event, it will pass.

Almost immediately started fraying. Other than that it's beautiful.

It is beautiful, light, dressy and adds a finishing touch to your outfit.

I bought this to complement a kurti set I was planning on wearing for a Diwali event at my workplace. It's absolutely gorgeous. The fabric is sheer, delicate, and the tape along the edge is metallic gold. It is quite large and drapes wonderfully.

The only thing that matches the Amazon product images is the fabric and color. There is no gold border or any other decoration. The dupatta looks more like a cheap scarf than an actual dupatta. The ends are twisted together NOT finished with a border, and the ends were fraying before I even took it out the package.

I have purchased several dupattas and all have been of exceptional quality, well stitched, drape beautifully and the color choices are lovely. I use mine as veils or stollas in recreating ancient Roman womens wear and they work wonderfully.

This is a lovely dupatta. I didn't expect soft georgette material, but that's OK. It was still worth the price.

Dupatta Bazaar is a company I've shopped with directly in the past and hope to shop with via Amazon again in the future. The range and quality of the items is good and also consistent. On a previous occasion one item on my order, for which I'd paid in full via PayPal was not available and the refund was slow to appear. Shopping with Dupatta Bazaar via Amazon also makes it possible to return an item if necessary. I look forward to dealing with this company again!
