Revolutionized my teaching!
I bought this book from my local music store many years ago, while I was still operating a family music studio where I taught many groups and private lessons in piano and music. It revolutionized my philosophy and made teaching so much more intentional for me. Having earned a music ed degree, along with all of the competitiveness involved, I was thrilled to read this. She introduced to me the idea that children could learn in an inclusive way, rather than by stiff competition. That philosophy fits the way that children learn today more than the way I was taught. Her ideas are well-explained, fresh and relevant. I have re-read it many times since.

For the kiddies
I was disappointed. I read other reviews of this book but still didn't realize how young the students are assumed to be who will be taught from the resources in this book. I was hoping for more mature content. It's cute enough for little ones, but I don't normally teach little ones. It's too cutesy for older beginners, let alone teens.
