The chess set is fantastic , but the storage area was flimsy.

VERY NICE, but not quite what I was thinking it would be!!?

I love this chess set but... Be aware, the pieces are kinda fragile. If I were trying to be mean, I'd say, extremely fragile. I bought this set entirely for decoration. I have never used them for a single game. No one has ever touched them except me. Today while opening the stable floor mounted cabinet below, the King fell over and the head came completely off!!! I was shocked. If it had fallen onto the floor or I had dropped it, I wouldn't say a word but, it only fell over onto the board...once!!! I would not say this set is cheap or poorly made but...it is fragile. Very fragile so, be very, very careful with it. The board is strong and sturdy. The pieces are not. You know what? I'm not being mean but I will say it...This set is extremely fragile. Also, I wish the entire set was a little larger. The sizes listed were accurate so I knew that going in and I'm not complaining about their size. I know it would've cost more and I would've paid more for the board and pieces to be larger, and hopefully, therefore stronger. Hope that helps.
