Helped my dog’s allergies and ear infections
My dog gets ear infections a lot and had allergies. The Vet recommended this. I first tried Farmers Dog, but noticed no improvement after a few months. So finally tried this and love that it’s cheaper than farmers dog and my dog loves it. After a while I stopped giving her Apoquel (for allergies ) and noticed the food is helping with her that. She’s not itching anymore and her ear infections have cleared up. Will continue to buy.

You can’t go wrong if you love your pup!
Although the price may seem high, this is the perfect supplement for my pup who is on a restricted diet due to allergies. It requires approval from your veterinarian to order but is much more affordable the getting it from your them. My pup loves it and my other fur baby tries to get his paws on it because he likes it too.

Helps with allergies
This really helps with our dog's allergies. It hasn't completely gone away, but the itching and discomfort is definitely less. It is worth the money because it allows us to give our dog his allergy medicine less. This is the only food we feed him. He has been eating it for over a year and still gobbles it up.

Great dog food / already on 3rd bag
My sweet Chinese Pug, Jazmine, suffers from terrible food sensitivities. This food is a game changer. I am on her 3rd bag now and she’s doing wonderfully.

Best food for constantly irritated skin
My little dog, who had been dealing with terrible rashes and hot spots, has been rid of all this for over 2 years now. The vet knew the cause was due to the type of dog kibble I was feeding, which I thought was a good dog food. Thank you, Hills!

Didn't make much of a difference
I recently switched my German Shepherd to Hill’s Prescription Diet Derm Complete Dry Dog Food to address her environmental allergies, which cause relentless paw chewing and itching, but after five weeks, the results have been underwhelming. The rice and egg recipe, packed with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and a Histaguard Complex, promised to bolster her skin barrier and reduce itching, and I followed the vet’s guidance to transition her over seven days. While her coat looks slightly shinier and she enjoys the taste, the itching and licking haven’t improved much—similar to what I’ve read from other owners online, like a Reddit user whose Aussie showed no change after three weeks. The food is easy to digest, and her stools are firmer, but it hasn’t tackled the core issue as hoped, even with Apoquel, which also underperforms for her. I’m considering switching to a hydrolyzed protein diet like Hill’s z/d, as some owners report better success with it for severe allergies. For the high price, I expected more noticeable relief, so I’m disappointed but may stick with it a bit longer while exploring immunotherapy.
