I used this to edge our wedding invites and it made them look perfectly vintage without being too tattered.

I really like the pretty torn edges I get with this ruler, this is definitely a good value for the price. I didn’t like that the ruler package had been previously opened, but I didn’t see any damage so I’m keeping it.

I used this to create the look of a hand made paper edge

I was looking for a metal version of a deckle edge ruler/paper trimmer, however, like many I couldn't find one. I was reluctant to buy the plastic We R Memory Keepers set of 3 because I knew I only wanted one specific size and edge. When I finally came across this one, I was excited, especially since the price was so reasonable. It has great weight, so it's not flimsy and won't easily break. I do find that I have to tear slowly and the bigger side isn't easier. I still believe a metal version would give a much cleaner tear/edge, but this does the trick. I'd recommend it for any crafter, but definitely go slow when tearing. Some have recommended using a dab of water on the paper to assist in tearing, but that is not very practical with all paper/mediums. This is a very good option! I only took off a star because it doesn't cut as clean as a metal version.

This is a very stout ruler which makes tearing a mess. Tearing was difficult on plain copy paper, thin book pages, and other various types of paper (parchment, wax, thin cardstock, etc), and the torn edges actually ended up looking horrible. It's just too thick which makes the edge too blunt to tear effectively. I'll keep looking for a thinner metal one.
