I have extremely thick & smooth hair. Normal hairties slip off my hair in half an hour so I'm constantly adjusting them, and they break every week or so because my hair is too powerful. Burlybands are the first hairtie that finally works for me as hairties intended. I'd say each one lasts me about 6 months before stretching out too big to wear on my wrist any more. I wanted to use these for a few weeks to develop a honest opinion and now I can say with 100% certainty that I love these elastics. I have incredibly thick hair and have never been able to find a decent hair elastic until now. I like to do a high pony and in the past have had to use multiple normal elastics to get it tight enough that it won’t slip down my head. One burly band does a high pony no problem and stays in place for a full 12 hour labour intensive shift. The elastic is tight to get on but I don’t mind because it doesn’t budge. Very happy with this hair elastic and will be recommending it to all my thick haired friends!

I've tried many other hair bands over the years and they just can't hold my very thick hair - they usually stretch out and break.These are absolutely amazing at keeping my hair up in a polytail or bun - I've been using them for 10 months now, and still going strong!Well worth the money!

I wondered why anyone else would pay this much for a hair tie but bought it based on reviews. It’s amaaaazing - would recommend it. The bands are thick, however a good size for the wrist.
