The instructions took a little head-scratching at first, but after a little experimentation, the assembly was pretty easy and only requires one person. I found it odd that the armrest on which someone sitting in the chair would place their left arm was labeled "R", and vice-versa. After assembly, the bottom cushion feels very hard at first, but overall the chair feels very comfortable. I bought two of these chairs for visitors in my small office and they look professional. They will not get full-time use, and I just bought them so I can't speak to how well they wear. I would recommend these and would buy them again.

Got 2 of these chairs - for bedroom and living room. Solidly built, look nice, firm but not too hard cushions, and easy to assemble. Assembly instruction sheet could be a little more clear on attaching seat to back - maybe a picture. Still, assembly of 1st chair was quick and easy - 30 min. Assembly of 2nd chair was problem before I started, as I noticed 1 of 2 long M8 x 80mm bolts for front legs was missing. Factory had mistakenly put extra short M8 x 60mm bolt in parts bag instead. I went ahead and assembled all but the last step - 1 side of front legs. Tried link on order page to contact manufacturer to get bolt set asap. But, link was not working. So, contacted Amazon customer service, who gave me link to manufacturer customer service. That link worked, created trouble ticket, and sent that. Got quick response from them. Unfortunately, that person was off sick for a few days, and my request sat there. After a few days I emailed that person, who apologized, and got part ordered. I was able to track UPS shipment. 13 days after original order of 2 chairs arrived, I received the bolt plus 2 extras via UPS. 10 minutes later the 2nd chair was assembled and usable. So, what's the point here? The missing part was left out at the factory by mistake. I decided to complete 95% of assembly and wait for part, rather that order replacement chair and return old, or just take bolt from 3rd chair and return it. I didn't need 2nd chair immediately any way. In this case, Amazon customer service and Baxton Studio customer service took care of problem within reasonable time, and minimal effort on my part. All things considered, after initial disappointment with missing bolt, this was a positive experience with customer support folks. Things happen, but they made it right. These days, that works for me.

The chair is fine but the directions are inferior. Should include a video. THe directions are like hieroglyphics difficult to interpret. Otherwise no complaints. A short video on the assembly would be extremely helpful over the crappy instructions.

I consider myself pretty capable when it comes to assembling furniture, but as other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions are garbage. But once you figure it out, this chair looks amazing and is comfortable too! I just got it today, so I can’t speak to how it holds up, but it does feel surprisingly sturdy. Hopefully the fake leather will last for a long time, because the frame feels solid. Very, very happy with my purchase, especially at this price!

I picked this chair because it was bigger than the majority that to me are more like a kid size. I'm 6'1" and this is just the right size. It is also very sturdy. As far as I can tell it is a solid wood frame. The material seems to be good quality as well. Not too hard to put together, however, the instructions could be a little better. I will update if things change, but I'm pretty pleased with this chair.

This chair is beautiful, and for the most part, it look just like the photo. My one complaint is the leather: In the photo, it appears to have a slightly "glossy" appearance - in person, it is more of a flat/dull leather...I've included a close up for reference. A different texture would have matched a few existing pieces in my living room better, but for the price, I couldn't beat this choice. High end stores sell similar chairs for over $600. The directions are poorly written, and the two side rails were labeled with letters that weren't even included with this particular package, but it was easy to see what went where. Still, what lacked in detailed illustrations and properly written instructions, it made up for by having minimal steps. Only about five things to do, so just take your time and think things through before you tighten anything, and you'll be fine... Took me about 30 minutes total. Feels study, looks smashing!

I love the sleek design of this chair plus the comfort is outstanding. I purchased two of these chairs as accent chairs in our wood burning fireplace room with heavy leather furniture. These chairs have become hub's favorite chair. They are sturdy but yet mobile. For Christmas we used these in our living room for the heavier members of our family. LOVE them. My daughter has the fabric design of this chair and is equally pleased. Great chair!!!

Honestly this is a very nice looking chair. However, the parts they gave me were defective and it is very hard to find JCBB bolts even at Home Depot that will match the exact dimensions. Take a look at the picture. Again, I think this is a nice chair...But this has caused me somewhat of a headache and I am not sure if the manufacturer will be sending me extra bolts so I can finish assembling the chair. I have reached out to them so we will see.

Decent chair. Sturdy, comfortable, if you like firm support (which I do). Not a very "high end" look, however, good value for the price.

Chairs are sturdy, firm (but comfortable) and easy to put together. Unfortunately 2 of the 4 arrived with manufacturing damage (on the right arm) and there is no option through Amazon to replace. Only option is to return and they are no longer available at the price I paid.
