Best shampoo I ever used
I know that's a pretty dramatic statement but its true. I have thick, fine, oily hair. I've never been able to find a shampoo that works for my hair. They would either dry out my hair or not fully clean it. Either way, I would always wake up with oily hair. Even though I washed my hair before bed. I've tried everything I can find for oily hair and nothing worked. I got into shampoo bars a few months ago and I like them. I like not having to deal with another plastic bottle in my shower. I like that I can use just enough product. I like how easy it is to travel with it. I've been Using different brands. I decided to try this one a go. I loved the smell. The bar is also very dense so I feel it will last a long time. I've had other bars fall apart. It also lathers well. My hair is clean but not dry. The ends of my hair are not dried out. My hair has body. All in all I'm really happy. I'm going to continue to use this bar in the future.

Third Time Is A Charm
I’m these photos I’m on day 2 of no washing. My hair is a bit messy due to humidity so don’t get me wrong, this is an amazing product. This is the third shampoo bar I’ve used. I started with J.R. Ligott’s Original bar, I finished that and moved to an off brand fermented rice bar, and now this bar. These shampoo bars are almost like washing your hair with oil, especially the J.R. Ligott’s bars, but don’t let that steer you away. My hair has never been healthier, with such great texture, and so much new growth. The problem I had with the other two bars was my hair got oily too fast. I wash my hair every 2-4 days. I try my best to shoot for 4. I have curly hair, A LOT OF IT, and the strands are extremely fine. I saw that this is for fine to normal hair so I decided to try it. It has the rice starch and oat starch in it that helps with hair growth. It is more chemically than I would like but it makes my hair so nice and I can go 4 days between washes with no problem. This bar makes my hair feel so soft. I have gotten so use to shampoo bars that the lack of scent is not a problem. It makes your hair smell very natural and clean, a little earthy. Shampoo bars last for months I have yet to finish this bar and I’m excited to see how long it lasts. If you want to save money, help the planet, and make your hair super nice I recommend this shampoo bar. I recommend this bar for men, women, and children alike. It’s amazing.

Shampoo bars for the win for travel!
I was quite skeptical about a shampoo bar. Would it lather? Would it leave my hair smooth and shiny? We were trying different brands for an upcoming trip and I am now a shampoo bar convert! It is as good or better than shampoo in a bottle and for travel, there is no question it is the best choice. We bought two different bars of Garnier. The scent was lovely, and the lather exceeded my expectations. My husband said he rather use a shampoo bar from now on. The only thing was the length of time it lasts. It is supposed to last a lot longer than it actually does. For a trip it would be great for a week. If two people are using it, that would be all it would last. We are now into week two of just my husband using it and it is just pieces. Would I buy it again for a trip? Yes. Would I use it for everyday? No because it doesn't last long enough for the price.

For fine hair, for sure! (It's a ramble, bear with me)
I had no idea "shampoo bars" existed when I saw a short video on them on SnapChat of all places - haha. It piqued my interest. I don't consider myself big on recycling or green issues, but there are things that are common sense to me, like the enormous amount of packaging waste. I don't go out of my way, but if it makes sense to me or even saves me money with little to no extra effort, I'll do it. For example, I do use cloth diapers for my kids. Anyway, even buying the "big bottle" 33.8oz Garnier shampoos and conditioners, that's a lot of bottles, recycled or not, and all those pumps and straws! Add to that I have some sort of skin sensitivity. For the past 10 plus years my hands get rashes and cracks, in the fall and winter especially. No lotion helps. I had a steroid cream once that sorta helped. Plus I have generally itchy skin all over. Zertec helps with the itch, but not the rash. Someone mentioned to me her son was diagnosed with an allergy to a common soap additive. It's not in the shower or hand soap I use but it's all over liquid shampoos! It's not in this bar. So the shampoo was the last thing possibly irritating my hands and skin. How's the hair? I have long (past my waist) fine, light toned, not chemically treated hair. And a lot of it - the quantity of strands is plentiful, no thinning. Stick straight, no texture. I don't blow dry or curl - pointless between the length and the lack of texture. All I do is brush it then put it in a bun or braid - both of which are reasons I keep it long. If I leave it down, especially if it's shoulder length or shorter, it looks stringy. I would say it is "normal," being niether oily nor dry. My scalp is healthy. I use hairspray to keep the strays in place with my bun, so that needs to get washed out and that's about my only real concern. I used to have to use coal tar shampoo once a week to do a deep clean. My hair would be so clean, I wouldn't even have to condition because it's so soft and silky (a huge advantage for natural hair, but does limit my styling ability). I don't even have to do that with this bar. Clean every time, though if it feels extra heavy with hairspray I wash twice. Gets a good lather. I condition once or twice a week, just when I feel it needs some detanging help, not for actual softness. This is a huge change for me, as I used large amounts of conditioner previous. If your asking where the companion conditioner is, you may not need any! And my hands have not been irritated and only started to get dry with single digit temperatures outside, like a normal person. Follow the directions. I looked into many different bars before settling on this one. Price and targeted hair type were my 2 biggest concerns. I specifically looked for a bar for fine hair and with a few candidates, this seemed the best value (and just so happened to be the same brand I have used for 20ish years). I will continue with this. But read the directions as not all bars are used and stored the same. Store "dry", on a soap saver out of the stream and splash of you shower. I have mine on a wall caddy in the back of the shower. Apply to scalp/roots and work down. It says not to pull your hair up into it, but work it down.... I pull my length up into it and that works just fine. It's been over a month and I probably have another month or so left, so it lasts a reasonable amount of time, this bar was on the small side based on my research (I figured if bar shampoo didn't work out, I didn't make too much of a commitment). I plan on introducting my 6 year old son to it, as he hates shampooing and doesn't want liquid shampoo to get in his eyes, a real panic for him. He likes bar soap now, I'm sure he'll like bar shampoo. I hope this long ramble helps anyone on the fence or still doing research into bar shampoo!

UPDATED: Exacerbated dandruff with more use
UPDATE AFTER 6 USES: By the 3rd or 4th time I used this bar, I noticed my hair when dry actually got a lot rougher in texture. I didn't put any extra products after showering normally and it never felt this rough. I also noticed my scalp got a lot oilier after just one day so I couldn't really wait 3 days to wash my hair even if I wanted to. Dandruff at my hairline was actually ridiculous when fixing my bangs, my whole hairline was just white with dryness and while my previous shampoo also caused some dryness (Aussie Miracle Moist), it never did it to this degree. I think this could just be my hair getting used to the bar after multiple uses since I had a completely opposite reaction the first time I used this. However, I might need to consider trying a shampoo bar specifically for dandruff since this has happened with multiple shampoos, bottled or not. I would say be careful of more dandruff if that is a common problem for you. It worked great the first time but my dandruff got progressively worse, so maybe I have to alternate it with shampoos that have sulfates. I still think this is a decent shampoo bar, but it seems to have just done nothing for dandruff as I thought. ORIGINAL REVIEW AFTER 2 USES This is my first impression after 2 uses and this is my first ever shampoo bar. I think it suds pretty well for starters which I've noticed is a problem for a lot of shampoo bars. I made sure my hair was completely wet and rubbed the bar to get the suds on my hands then worked my hands on my roots. I also used the pointy tip of the bar to rub directly on my scalp. For reference, I have long-layered straight and thick Asian hair with a dandruff-prone scalp. I found the shampoo bar to suds within only a minute or two of lathering on my scalp which is great. After rinsing completely my hair did feel like it had been completely cleaned out of any oils and build-up so it felt a little *too clean* until I added my conditioner. I use the Garnier Fructis Treat conditioners (comes in a drink-type bottle) and my hair felt soft and hydrated again. I wash my hair every 2 days and so far I've had no negative reactions. What I loved after getting out of the shower and drying my hair is that my hair did feel a lot softer and shinier with this shampoo bar than with my last bottled shampoo (Aussie Miracle Moist). I also had noticeably less dandruff and flakiness the next day. I usually get a lot of flakiness near my hairline and there was way less here, which is great since I do have eczema. I'd say this is a good introduction to bar shampoos since it comes from a recognizable brand. I personally don't like coconut scents and I'm finding it bothersome so avoid if you have coconut allergies or are sensitive to coconut scents. Otherwise i think this is a great travel-friendly shampoo bar!

Works great, strong scent
Have been using this bar for over a month now. I have fine, thinish hair. We have a whole house water softener system, otherwise we would have very hard water. Now with that out of the way, I love how the bar lathers up and cleans my hair. No residue and no need for a conditioner after. I rub the bar on my hands rather than directly onto my head, making sure I have lots of water in my hair so that the lather is evenly distributed throughout my hair. This method works very well for me. It rinses clean and leaves my hair feeling soft. The only downside for me is the intensity of the scent. It is much too strong even though the site shows it to be low intensity. My bar sits on a wire shelf at the back of my shower so it does dry out between uses; have not had it get mushy. I wash my hair every other day and my bar hardly shows any use so it should last quite some time.

Strong Fragrance - Great Shampoo
My husband and I purchased the Oat Delicacy Shampoo Bar for Fine to Normal Hair, since we both have fine, wavy hair. It lathers great and rinses out easily. My hair seems to love it and looks great, even without conditioner. I would recommend some conditioner, though, if your hair tends to be on the dry side. Our only issue with this bar is that it has a VERY strong fragrance. People who are sensitive to fragrances will want to find this in a store and smell it before purchasing to make sure it doesn't bother them. It is so potent that it smells up the bathroom. It isn't a bad fragrance, but it is very strong. We haven't tried any of the other Garnier Shampoo Bars yet, but probably will because this one works so well. They don't seem to be out in stores yet, so we hope the fragrance of the others doesn't bother us.
