Everything comes apart so you can clean and dry it. No hinges which is the best part. The hinges on my kids bento boxes kept breaking.

UPDATE: Does not keep food warm very long. I ended up buying a standard Thermos with the screw off lid and my child and I have been much happier with that, for our purposes. I still like this container and might use it for myself but overall didn't quite fit our current needs. I JUST opened this and there’s a part that’s broken—debating if it’s worth it to me to replace immediately because I imagine my child might just destroy it after a short while anyway. That small section that came broken renders that compartment no longer leak-proof which is a large part of why I ordered this but I can switch the metal compartments around and it’s not likely I’ll have more than one leaky food item per lunch. I like the design and my small child can open and close it all no problem and it fits in their current zip up soft lunchbox bag which is also nice. Will update on if it keeps the food warm enough but overall I’d be a lot happier with it if it came in one piece.

Good quality and maintain the heat for sometime

Originally purchased May 24, 2024 and after a year and 2 months, the lid has broken where the clip closure is. Below are my likes, dislikes and usage info! Usage: Used twice a week for a year and 2 months in conjunction with 2 other bento boxes of a different design. Washed metal pieces in dish washer x2/week, plastic pieces in dishwasher x1/week or hand washed as needed. I never used the metal pieces in the over nor the plastic containers in the microwave out of preference. The bottom lid did retain a stain after placing tteokboki in the bottom section— keep in mind for tomato sauces or other stain prone foods. Cannot recommend for keeping things warm as I did not test / I kept my bento in the fridge. Love: The size and capacity is great. Flexibility of what the top container holds and bottom can hold— taller items in the top compartment and less voluptuous items on the bottom. Think salad on bottom while marinated eggs, dip or sauce container, fruit piled high or stacks of baguette bread (for that lunchtime bruschetta) on top. Loved that versatility. Dislikes: The gasket of the top lid would slip when trying to seal and bulge out the side if I didn’t close the top in just the right way. The bottom lid would also be a bit finicky when closing quickly. The clip closures require pressure to close and open which ultimately led to the side of the top lid cracking and coming off. Offering replacement lids would make this design flaw rendered annoying rather than fatal. Would I buy again? No, but I don’t regret buying. It was nice having a different bento configuration that I could work with based on my weekly meals. The closure is the bento’s weakest aspect and if approved, would have enjoyed more.

Very disappointed with this product. The outer material is flimsy and cheap, and the lunch box cracked after falling from just 1 foot. For the high price, I expected at least basic durability. Total waste of money — definitely not worth buying.

feels cheap. depth is pretty low and can't put tall items. I had a hard time closing the lid on a drumstick. After washing in the dishwasher top rack, the plastic felt a little warped. For the price, this is not worth it. do not recommend.

This meal box meets my requirements perfectly. It is lightweight and of the right size so that it does not add a lot of weight and it does not take up too much space in the schoolbag. It is of stainless steel, my first requirement for holding food hygienically. It has two tiers - just perfect for the morning break and lunch break. It has a handle that makes it much easier for the child to manage. I would rate the design 10 out of 10. The nine year old girl for whom this was bought practised handling it properly in a few minutes.. She was surprised by the colour though as the image on the platform was a clear sparkling sky blue. So was I! Good thing we are not adverse to a dull green. A spare clip is given. I hope it is possible to buy a spare handle and other spare clips - just in case needed. All in all I am very satisfied with the purchase but am wondering why I did not baulk at the shipping cost.
