This book is awesome! I am a Pagan Witch and have been meaning to make a Grimoire with all my witchy knowledge (ooOOoospooky!) But just haven't really found a good sturdy book I want to work on (I'm an artist and a whore for aesthetics) but this book has motivated me! I'm no haberdasher but the leather has a really nice feel to it- it's soft and floppy but also sturdy. It's not one of those leather books that you have to keep fighting with the stupid flaps like youre having a slap fight, it sits relatively flat and tucks under nicely. The pages are honestly just sick as hell they range in thickness/density from regular printer paper, to more cardstock-like and have a papyrus-like feel to them WHICH IS EXPECTED from handmade paper (if you know you know) so some reviews were unclear on the paper quality (pro tip: you can order a pack of handmade paper and just reinforce any thin pages and it'll be fine) but just expect some pages to be thinner than others but the majority of them a very nice thick fabric-like with a nice rough tooth to it (like watercolor paper) I have yet to write/draw/stamp in it yet because I'm still waiting on the pens, ink, and pads to be delivered but I worked at Michael's for 5 years in the art section and know good paper when I see it 😏 The color is definitely a LOT darker than the picture but I absolutely love Olive green so I'm super happy about that cuz I was gonna try and darken it on my own with some of my own leather dye but now I don't have to! (The pics are pretty true to color and I even set it on my bed since the sheets are a good comparison) I saw some reviews talking about splotchy dye on the inner cover but the manufacturer must've taken notes (that never happens lol) and the inside is dyed just as evenly as the outside. My ONLY complaint...is she stanky. Like hoo lord I opened the box and got a WHIFF of what I assume to be the dye (leather dye is stinky) its very chemically and I've only had it for a short while but its starting to ease up but prepare your nostril hairs cuz if you didnt shave them before they're gonna burn off lol Overall, I definitely think this book is worth it for anything creative, whether it be a sick as hell sketch book, a scrapbook/junk journal, hell even a notebook for school, walk around like you're a witch/wizard writing the ancient magic known as ✨️CALCULUS✨️ WOOOOO! Or just get it if you wanna feel cool as hell. It would also make a fantastic prop for Ren Fair (I'm looking at you fellow nerds and gays). This book is so cool that as soon as my sister's boyfriend saw it he was drooling over it, so I ordered another one for him to use as a field guide for his plants/garden as well as cataloging the wild plants that grow around our house. This would be a great gift for anyone who enjoys a good quality book, it's really a piece of art tbh (I swear I'm not exaggerating I just have a very strong appreciation for craftsmanship in this world of Temu crap lol) and the price is totally reasonable (I got the 10x13) I will definitely be coming back for more as soon as im in the market for another one (this boi is THICC so it might be a minute tho)

I was looking for an antique-style journal, and this Green Deckle Edged Journal exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with this journal—it's simply beautiful, nicely made, and feels very well constructed. Quality & Features I Love: • The Paper: The deckle-edged paper is gorgeous and gives it a wonderful authentic antique feel. A major bonus is its versatility: I can confirm that you can write on this paper with any kind of pen or marker without bleed-through, which is perfect for my notes and drawings. • Genuine Leather & Size: The cover is genuine leather, just as described. The size 10x7 is perfect for my needs, especially for tracking appointments and general writing. It feels substantial without being too bulky. Important Notes for Other Buyers: • Color: I ordered the green one. While I was hoping for the brighter shade shown in some product photos, it is actually the duller, deeper green color, exactly matching the color in the -submitted photos (even when those are taken in sunlight). It's still lovely, but something to note if you are expecting the brighter hue. • Scent: As noted in many reviews, the genuine leather does have a musty smell when it first arrives. I plan on leaving it out on my enclosed porch overnight to air out, but other than this minor issue, the journal is truly nice. Final Verdict: All in all, I give this journal a five-star rating! I very much appreciate the discounted price, even for this larger size, which makes it a phenomenal value. I am so happy with it, I might even purchase another one soon.

This journal is absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship and the details is top tier quality. I’m in love. I’m about to order another just to have as backup. The paper is perfectly thick. The only downside is that it smelled wet still, that lets me know it was made recently. I just plan to lay it out flat and allow the air to penetrate the pages. I highly recommend purchasing.

I got the 10x13. I really liked it. If you want something super aged then it’s great. It had pages so folded up you couldn’t really write on them. That wasn’t what was pictured and wouldn’t work for my purposes but the cover is great. It’s nice if you want something like that

This is a gorgeous journal. It will be perfect for junk journaling or as a travel journal. The pages are luxurious and feel great in your fingers.

First, I love the design, and the vibe of the pages… Cover feels like it could actually be leather [too many thing claim leather, when they are not]. But… Losing stars due to: Color is wrong. I was expecting something in an emerald green. Instead, received one that is an olive green. I asked amazon before purchasing if alcohol markers would bleed. I was assured they would not. That the paper was heavy enough for all types of markers. and will definitely work with my alcohol markers… This is definitely not true, I did a spot test on the very last page [attached]. Immediately bled through. I extremely displeased by this. Now, it’s useless for the reason I purchased it.

My 16 year old granddaughter was delighted with this Christmas gift! Handmade, thick paper bound in soft leather with a unique way of closing the journal. Old world craftsmanship.

Très beau et bien fait. mais un odeur très forte et désagréable s'en dégage. peut-être qu'avec le temps elle se dissiperait mais à cause de cela je l'ai retourné au vendeur. odeur de cuir, tenture et de moisissure.

Although this book is lovely and exactly what I want I can not get over the mildew smell. It fills the whole house. I returned. And will not be ordering again from this company as it for sure was known after reading other reviews
