still working great!
UPDATE: After more than a year, pump is still working great. As long as you clean gunk out of the pump every so often, it will last a while. Honestly, I've only cleaned it three times so far. As soon as I put this out in the sun it started working. I am using it as a hummingbird fountain and it's perfect for that. I rigged up the fountain according to a youtube video I saw. Very easy assembly, the tubing that comes with it fits perfectly to the base of the pump. If you wanted to purchase additional tubing, the opening is right at 5/16". As you can see and hear in the video, it has a very strong flow coming up through the nozzle, I have the pump sitting at the bottom of an old planter and the water is pumping up through about 8" of tubing and is doing a pretty good job pushing water up and out at that distance. For a small pump, it is surprisingly powerful. I've had it for 2 months and I haven't had to clean the filter yet, but not much can get through the small holes I've made in the top cover, it keeps leaves and other debris from clogging filter. Two months later, it's still working very well. I also observed the fountain working in complete cloud coverage on a few occasions. It wasn't coming out as high as it was in the video, but it was a steady flow, to be honest, it is not the norm, most overcast days it does not work. The still photo was taken in the rain and you can see how well it was pumping out. The video was taken on a sunny day, but in a partly shaded area. It doesn't work at all at night, but it's not expected to, it has no battery back up. I would definitely purchase another one.

Awesome little water pumps!
This little pump deserves 6 stars! Amazing durability. I’ve purchased two of these, thinking if I got just one to work a week, it would be worth the money. I’m simply blown away at the power and reliability of these small pumps. I have them in a bird bath, which I’m letting water drip into to keep it full. More than once, I have let the water get below the pump inlet. It has ran several days with no water and still works fine! After two months, both still work. Included are several different spray heads and extensions. Most spray the water 8 to 12 inches above the bath, really attracting the birds! The speed of the pump is of course directly related to the brightness of the sun on the small solar panels. The cord is plenty long (about 5 or 6 feet), so I have the bird bath in the shade, allowing the solar panels to reach sun. Would highly recommend this for small ponds or bird baths.

Nice Little Bird Fountain BUT...
Pros: It works nicely. So far seems to have a good power for it's size. Has the perfect spray for a bird bath. Birds are loving it. I'm honestly not sure what people are complaining about parts not fitting??? they may have gotten a different model or were missing a piece??? Everything went together easily for me. It's got a nice size spray so you're going to want a pretty decent size bath or the overspray may drain your bird bath quickly. Cons: The solar panel needs SOLID direct sunlight. In the summer heat, I prefer to keep the bath in the shade to keep it from getting too hot. Gave it a 4 because I would preferred the cord to be longer so I can keep the bath under the tree and the panel in a part of the yard that's full sun. The cord is not bad, just not long enough. Note: Niether pro nor con...The panel does not have battery storage. When the sun is gone, the pump stops (I knew this before purchase). This does not bother me at all since the birds don't normally "bathe" in the dark.

Almost but not quite - will only work for very specific setups
First off, the pump is tiny but seems to work fine when the solar panel is in full sun. I picked this one because it was described as having a tempered glass solar panel, and I'm frustrated that on so many different solar powered tchotchkes like this, the plastic coating over the solar cells degrade after a year or so and eventually stops working. However, I'm not sure that this is actually glass, it feels an awful lot like plastic, so I'm not optimistic regarding durability. The biggest problem I have and why I rated this down is that the cable from the solar panel to the pump is permanently attached at both ends. Most of these have a connector so that you can detach one end of the cable to thread it through the base of a fountain. Now I just have the cable dangling over the side of the fountain, which is unsightly and will probably keep getting disturbed and I'll have to reposition it. This also makes it impossible to extend the cable if I need to place the solar panel further away to be exposed to full sun. And you really need the panel to be in full, direct sun for it to work. Even a slight shading of the panel causes the water to either pulsate on and off, barely flow, or just not work. They seem to make the solar panels JUST barely big enough to run the pump, so there's no extra to accommodate less than perfect sunlight. The second problem I have is that there is no way to mount the solar panel. It is just a small, very thin, flat panel with an inexplicable rectangular lump on the bottom that pokes out about an inch so it can't even sit flat. Other similar solar pumps have always had some kind of mounting bracket that I could use to attach the panel to something to keep it fixed into position and out of the way. Now I'm not sure what to do with this, just leave it laying on the ground? That's not exactly attractive and is likely to get stepped on or damaged some other way. There's a ton of these little pumps on Amazon, unless you know you don't need to detach or extend the cable, and are fine with a solar panel that doesn't sit flat and has no way to attach it to anything, I'd look elsewhere.

Good pump but accessories are lacking!
Works well but plastic tubing only fits/connects to pump. Kit needs an adapter to fit fountain spray heads that are included. Also electrical cord from pump to solar pump is non-disconnectable.
