I use the gas tank to supply fuel to my outboard. I am a commercial fisherman and use these tanks every day! The tanks are well-made, and. have not had a problem to date.

The tank did not vent as it was supposed to and expanded to the point where it did not go back to its original shape after unscrewing the cap.

Update ------ the leak was not because of the tank. It was the connection that screws in. No problems with the tank. Scepter customer service was fantastic. Finally got a chance to try and use the tank. Unfortunately, it's past the 30 days for a return/refund. Leaks all kinds of gas around the gas pickup side and around the fuel gauge. Save your money and the headache and buy something else!!

So far this tank has proven easy to handle to and from the boat. Have had no leaks and the fuel gauge actually seems to to work and is acurate

It works which is good. I had to transfer fuel connector from old tank as customer service of Scepter is somewhat confused and ridiculous (they have wrong phone numbers and department names on their website, calling them is useless exercise as the people on the other side of the line don't understand what you are talking about and don't know their product, parts or contacts suggesting third party companies (?!)) The fuel tank has deformed under warm weather the first week, but indicator works reasonably well and it does not leak (the main reason I bought it as replacement for the old one) Overall, I am happy with this purchase.
