Perfect replacement, Easy installation, Inexpensive!
Perfect replacement. Very easy installation. Each envelope contained 1 sheet of thin foam, which was more than enough material to replace filters in 2 of my through-the-wall air conditioners. This foam filter is thin; you can actually see through it. For cutting the correct sizes, I used the original filters as templates. With these new filters in place, my air conditioners are now working fine, blowing and cooling Dust Free. The new filters did not impede air flow.

Needed To Cut Into Air Filters For My BedJet - PERFECT FOR THE JOB!
My BedJet II uses a small rectangle shaped foam filter (5" x 10" x 3/16") that catches dust, lint, etc. at the air inlet end of the machine (think inflow on a vacuum). The filter that comes on the BedJet is a simple thin piece of foam that's hand washable or can be gently cleaned with a vacuum. It's a really cheap filter, it's just a piece of foam that doesn't have a frame or anything like that. (Since this functioned as a light duty filter, a foam filter with rigid frame would have been overkill. I first searched the BedJet company website, didn't see anywhere on the site that the Company sold the filters. (Probably no money in selling 10 cent pieces of foam.) So since it was a pathetically simple filter I decided to fabricate my own. Ordered this foam sheet based on it being 3/16" thick; the BedJet one measured about the same thickness. Warning: Compared to the foam filter on the BedJet, this foam is NOT as dense. Will that matter, i.e., is this foam less protective? I dunno. I'm going to keep an eye on how much dirt, lint, or other debris (e.g., the lint from flannel bed sheets) this filter catches compared to the "heartier" BedJet stock filter. If it's not working as well, I will need to search for another foam/filter solution. The foam arrived, I quickly used the existing filter as a template to form the filter. Tools were a pair of full sized scissors for the long cuts, and manicurist scissors for the small cuts. A few snip snip snips, I was all done. At the moment of truth if fit perfect and the machine works great. With one sheet I can make four filters. Can't beat that price point, $1.50 each total cost. (My labor is free.) So subject to the density issue, if you need to make a homemade filter, if this is the thickness and dimensions you need I highly recommend the product. Between me and my family we have four BedJets. So I'll be ordering more sheets so I don't have to think about making filters for a long time. And at this price point I will buy some extra sheets because one can never have enough filter foam for cutting to shape and size and placing it on or in any device that sucks in air.

Works for Air intake filter
Made an air intake filter for my old Toro style torpedo kerosene heater. (50 yrs or more) old. Used three layers thick and it’s perfect.

They’re Inexpensive and help Collect larger lint and dust
I like these. I know, they’re old school. I use them as a kind of prefilter over the plastic mesh filter in my combo ac/heat unit. They are quite thin, easily installed, no bulk to impact airflow or closing the cover. They cut like a dream for custom fit. As to air quality, well they’re thin and porous so they’re not going to get small dust particles, but getting larger ones, cat hairs, etc., I think they’re worth helping even a little with air quality.

Very good alternative filter
I needed a lightweight and thin filter for my space heater. The original filter was too old and dirty. It was very easy to cut this filter to size to fit it into the back of the space heater to replace the old one. It is thin enough so that airflow doesn't get impeded while still able to trap small debris and dust.

Fitted in to my wet vac
Good product, I improvised and adapted it to my Ridgid vacuum because the dust filter was no longer filtrating properly. It was very easy to install and good for this purpose. Thank you!

This foam was purchased to limit the amount of dust accumulating in two fan heaters. After covering the air inlet grills - and emptying the barrel fans of fluff, the hot air out the front almost burns again! The airflow is unaffected, drawing cooler room air, at the back, over the internal, over-temperature cutout. That airflow is preventing it from cutting out prematurely! This foam has worked like magic!

I tried the purpose built filters on my computer fans but they just seemed to cut off too much air and there was still a lot of dirt getting around the CPU fan/radiator. The exhaust fans were pulling air into the case through unprotected inlets so getting stuff inside the case was still an issue. THIS, however is perfect as it is placed at ALL of the inlet openings where the fans get their air from. The front panel of my case has a layer of this between the metal case and the front cover covering the entire front of the chassis. As there is a much larger area for the filter to work, the fans are much more efficient doing what they are supposed to do. Instead of a fan dealing with a 120mm filter, it is using a much larger filter area. I put more material on all air inlets to the case using double sided carpet tape. The idea being that if ALL air inlets are covered whether they have a fan or not makes things so much better. None of the material is visible from the outside unless you look in the vent holes at the back of the case. They are easy to clean or for the price of the package, replace. I was considering buying a lot of these, repackage and sell them to computer owners for 5 times the price but I'm a nice guy. UPDATE, APPARENTLY AMAZON IS NOT A NICE GUY. HAS DOUBLED THE PRICE TO $22 WHILE EVERYONE ELSE IS SELLING FOR ABOUT $5. CAN'T TRUST AMAZON ANYMORE.

A very good substitute for the original which I could not get. After use remove the bobbles with the patting of cellotape. Thereafter soak in cold water and Savlon for 20 mins. Rince and dry out. It will be ready for use the summer after.
